7-6-12 UPDATE

I had my blood work and u/s follow up this morning. I won't have results till later this afternoon for blood work, however, during the u/s the doc saw 3 follies on the right and 7 on the left. The largest one was 9 in size. All of the rest were around 7 in size. So as of right now I have to wait till my blood work returns, then they will run it all by my actual RE and he will determine where to go from here. I am assuming I will have another appointment on Monday. I only have 10 days worth of meds, which puts me at Tuesday the 10th, so I am a little concerned on how things are gonna go. They will also be letting me know when to start the Ganirelix. I asked when my retrievel should be and he mentioned next weekend, but that seems too far out. I will update this afternoon when I know more. I am hoping these are good results for me having such low AMH levels.

7-6-12 AFTER BLOOD WORK UPDATES

The nurse called me and my blood work came back as 122 which coinsides with my u/s. Although my ovaries are responding, they are responding slower than expected. I was asked to continue the meds and add the Ganirelix Sunday evening. I have a follow up appointment Tuesday morning and I may need to take 2 more days of meds depending on how things look. I pray it all works out! Sigh

"6th- Doxycycline 2x a day for both me & Steve, 225 IU of Follistim in the morning and 3 vials of 225 IU Menopur in the evening.

"7th- Doxycycline 2x a day for both me & Steve, 225 IU of Follistim in the morning and 3 vials of 225 IU Menopur in the evening.

"8th- Doxycycline 2x a day for both me & Steve, 225 IU of Follistim in the morning, 3 vials of 225 IU Menopur in the evening along with Ganirelix.

"9th- Doxycycline 2x a day for both me & Steve, 225 IU of Follistim in the morning, 3 vials of 225 IU Menopur in the evening along with Ganirelix.

7-10-12 UPDATE

During my appointment, my RE said my follies were still too small to trigger. Mostly ranging from sizes 10 to 14. Need to take 2 more days of meds and will have another U/S and blood work done on Thursday morning. Blood work came back as 813 which is good and coincides with the size and quantity of my follies.

"10th- Doxycycline 2x a day for both me & Steve, 225 IU of Follistim in the morning, 3 vials of 225 IU Menopur in the evening along with Ganirelix.

"11th- Doxycycline 2x a day for both me & Steve, 225 IU of Follistim in the morning, 3 vials of 225 IU Menopur in the evening along with Ganirelix.

7-12-12 UPDATE

Doc said follies made really great progress, some new ones growing, so all of them ranging from size 10 to 20, mostly size 18. He predicts 6 good eggs, however, things could change come the day of ER. He instructed me to do my Trigger shot tonight at 6 p.m. along with the last of my Menopur for Sat early morning ER.

"12th- Doxycycline 2x a day for both me & Steve, 225 IU of Follistim in the morning, 3 vials of 225 IU Menopur in the evening along with HCG Trigger shot.

"13th- Doxycycline 2x a day for both me & Steve and Prenatal Vitamins. (Experiencing lots of bloating and lil twinges)

"14th- ER is scheduled for 6 a.m. Began PIO shots along with Estrace pills 3 times a day, Prenatals, Doxycyline and Prednisone.

7-14-12 UPDATE

So I arrived at the hospital at 5:15 am to get prepared for the egg retrieval at 6 am. The worst part about it was them putting the IV in for the anesthesia lol. Once the meds kicked in, I was knocked out and I just remember waking up to my RE telling me he was only able to retrieve 10 eggs but that some of them won't be good. There were a few eggs that matured early and we lost them, so out of the 10 he retrieved he wasn't sure on how many will fertilize. We rested there for a lil bit and then the nurse discharged us with our instructions for after care. I did not have any side effects from any of the retrieval, thank God.

"15th- Prenatals, Doxycyline, Estrace, PIO shots and Prednisone.

7-15-12

Embryologist called at 7 in the morning and informed me that only 4 out of the 10 fertilized. Out of the 6 that didn't, 3 were degenerate and 3 weren't mature enough. But thankfully enough 4 fertilized. She said she would call me Tuesday with an update.

"16th- Prenatals, Doxycyline, Estrace, PIO shots and Prednisone.

"17th- Prenatals, Doxycyline, Estrace, PIO shots and Prednisone.

7-17-12 UPDATE

By late morning I had not heard anything so I called and left a voicemail and the nurse called me back saying that we needed to be there Wednesday morning for the transfer. She informed me that the Embryologist would be calling me with an update. So shortly after that, she called to inform me that only 1 embryo made it to 8 cell, out of the other 3, one didn't divide at all, one only divided once and the other divided 3 times. This was bittersweet news. So at this point we were looking at transferring the good 8 cell egg with one of the others. Well I decided to email my RE and ask if he could transfer all 3 that divided and he said he would. The embryologist informed me that every so many hours the others that didnt divide could possibly do some more dividing. Only time would tell. ET scheduled for 6 am Wednesday morning.

"18th- Doxycyline, Estrace, PIO shots and Prenatals.

7-18-12 UPDATE

Arrived at hospital at 5:30 am for our ET. I made sure to drink plenty of water as instructed however this caused a lot of ovary pain. I guess since my ovaries are still large, the pressure from a full bladder caused pain. It was a constant pain so I had to release a lil bit of urine before the transfer. I am going to write a separate journal on this part of it because it is just so amazing :)

"19th- Prenatals, Estrace and PIO shot.

"20th- "19th- Prenatals, Estrace and PIO shot.

"21st- (My Bday) "19th- Prenatals, Estrace and PIO shot.

"22nd- "19th- Prenatals, Estrace and PIO shot.

"23rd- "19th- Prenatals, Estrace and PIO shot.

"24th- "19th- Prenatals, Estrace and PIO shot.

7-25-12 UPDATE

Went in early to do BW to check Estradiol and Progesterone levels. Estradiol came back at 507 and anything over 200 is good, Progesterone came back as 46 and should be over 30. I am so happy to know that if I am indeed pregnant that my lil bean is being supported very well =) Now we wait for the beta which is scheduled for 8-2-12. So far away lol Thank you ladies for all of your love and support!!

"25th- "19th- Prenatals, Estrace and PIO shot along with a faint BFP =)

Lovingly and Respectfully,
Jess

Okay ladies,

So I decided to test early this morning with FMU...

I am 13 days past trigger, 11 dpo and 7 days past the 4 day transfer. No AF yet. What do you ladies think??? I see faint lines. But I am in major denial in fear of it not being real... I am looking for positive feedback only as I could not handle anything else at this point ;).

Lovingly,
Jess xoxo

Embryo transfer

517909?1346347568
Today's ET was so surreal. I'm still in awe of it all!

We arrived at 5:30 am and got started at 6 am. Took my valium st 4:30 am so it would take effect. We were able to view the embryos through the microscope, it was amazing! We were then givin a pic of the embies (see attached pic) The top left embryo is the golden one! The doc instructed I have a full bladder but mine was a lil too full causing lots of pressure on my ovaries. So I had to release a lil urine. But the nurse said it was perfect. So since my ovaries were hurting so bad, I took my 2nd valium. Shortly thereafter my RE began the process of the transfer. It was amazing because Steve n I were able to see the whole thing on the u/s screen :) My RE transferred all 4 embryos because he said it wouldn't hurt since the 3 hadn't divided much. We had one strong egg at 16 cell that is the one we are hoping sticks. 10 minutes after it was done I was able to urinate n then lay back down. I must have dosed off for almost an hour lol. But I felt great!  The nurse then discharged us n we were on our way :) doctors orders were to be put on bed rest for the next few days, so no work.

I just have to say that I am feeling more at ease than ever before. I'm so grateful to have made it this far considering I have such low reserve.  This is a true blessing to have experienced n I'm hoping for a BFP so that I can help encourage everyone else!  The prayers n faith of everyone else has made a huge difference n has brought me peace. My Birthday is this Sat, July 21st, so I'm praying for a birthday present this month! Until then, I rest ;)

I will continue my PIO shots n estrace pills and I go back next Wed for blood work. Then I go back on 8-2-12 for my first beta :) here's to the 2ww!

Below is a great link that shows videos on how to mix the Menopur, just copy n paste into your browser... I was told to only use 1/2 ml but this video shows to use 1 cc so I am going to call my nurse to make sure I am doing it correctly...
