High Fever (102+) .. Watching Asthma

Oct 25, 2008 12:00AM - 8 comments

Keeping fingers crossed with this illness the asthma stays FAR FAR AWAY .. so far so good.  She gets strep results back tomorrow.  High Temp and awful joint pain, throat, migraine and on meds to help the pain as we wait this out.  She is almost 18.  Not a little one.

I will try to get a baseline peakflow going "just in case" .. she tends to get mj. asthma involvement with illness.

A new Asthma Tracker - WOW

Aug 25, 2008 12:00AM - 0 comments

Thanks MedHelp!  Two of my children have mild - moderate asthma and this is a wonderful tool for us to track peak flows vs. charting by hand and bringing a scrap of paper to the Pulmonoloigst when in the middle of a flaire or on the phone with her!

I can so easily track on the Asthma Tracker and e-mail it to her so she has it in front of her when we speak on the phone regarding my daughters asthma plans!

My Dr. is about 40mins away so this for her or for the Pediatrician if we go for a "look-see" vs. 40mins away is going to prove AWESOME!

I am going to show my Pediatrician and my Pulmonologist this tracker --- you should too!!

WOW is all I can say!

C~
