I went to the hospital for severe shortness of breath and sharp frequent pain in my right rib around 7pm. The shortness of breath was so severe that if I stopped focusing on breathing second, I would be gasping for air the next. I felt like I wasn't getting enough oxygen, my feet felt weird like they were lifeless and numb but not at the same time, my arms were bright red and splochy, my face was paler than normal, and the pain in my ribs was progressively getting worse. When the nurse touched my rib even as lightly as she did, I winced in pain, and more of the time my ribs just cause discomfort, not so much pain. The discomfort is something I don't really know how to describe. It feels like my ribs are popping in and out of place but if that were to really happen, surely it'd be ten times more painful. It felt weird, and its that kind of weird that words cannot replicate, which is clearly unhelpful for doctors. I got a chest xray which came out normal, and then I was forcefully discharged because "there was nothing wrong". Sure maybe they can't do anything about the rib pain, but the severely short breath? I don't believe for one minute that there's nothing they can do for that. I also think it's quite the serious issue, what if it were to get worse, what if I were to have even more trouble breathing? Breathing is kind of really important... I don't see why that was not a "serious" enough issue for them to care. They didn't care. I'd rather have stayed longer or even overnight and be monitored and other problems don't come up, because being at home with a problem like this, is not easy, and a worry within itself. And now I'm at home, no better, maybe worse, with nothing to do about this issue but lie down and distract myself form it, and distraction only gets you so far.

All At Once

Every problem, diagnosed or undiagnosed suddenly triggered for no reason. All my POTS symptoms acted up. My undiagnosed yet severe stomach issues acted up. My racing heart (160bpm for about 2-3 hours and then average 125 from around 9pm yesterday still going right now 6am today. This same thing happened on a smaller skill approx 2 weeks ago and I went to the hospital for it, but knowing they'd just give me an IV and more Ativan and call it a Panic Attack (which I believe it was not), and send me home, so I just waited it out. Also my orthostatic intolerance is almost reversed today. I feel better when standing rather than better when sitting. The transition between the two is normal, but it's a very peculiar thing that I've noticed.

First trip to the hospital ever. Hospitals and needles were one of my greatest fears til then (needles still are). EKG and blood tests were done, I was on a blood pressure cuff, pulsox, one ativan, and an IV with one or two bags of saline. I was in the hospital (pediatric ward) from 9am until 2pm when I was discharged simply because the hospital couldn't do much else to help. They basically just told me I was having a panic attack, but it started because of POTS and anxiety didn't kick in until it got more serious and I was on the way to the hospital (which makes sense.)
