I have three MRI's tonight. One for my head, one for my neck (both due to the stroke), and one for my lower back(suspected ruptured disc). I will hopefullly find out what's going on with the stroke/TIA symtoms and definately find out about the very painful back. The MRI's start at 9pm and don't finish till 1am. That's government health care for you. I really would like some closure on the stroke, or atleast something that tells why I had it.

I took the wife to see "Promethius", the new Ridley Scott movie. The promo's made it look like a pre-quil to the first Alien movie. We saw the 3D version. I am a big Ridley Scott and Alien fan, but this movie fell short. It was all over the place, it was alright visually, but I believe it fell short of Alien, BladeRunner and other movies I'm used to as far as Ridley is concerned. It was great taking the wife out though. We shared a tub of Popcorn. What's with NY wanting to ban those tubs. Keep out of my dicision making please government.

Usefullness. It came to me that I now fully understand the word "usfullness". When you have outlived your usefullness, you enter into the realm of "burden". From a stellar Military career to just being a burden to the effort. It seems that cascades to all realms of daily life to all around. And to find or "invent" a usefullness for you is all but impostible when there are physical limitations.

Stroke not TIA

symptom

It was determined today by another doctor that I had a mild stroke, not a TIA. That explains atleast for me, why although my symptoms have improved but not gone away like a TIA is expected to. Reading all these questions on TIA sure helped me deal with this, but I think that there are other people that have had strokes and been labled as TIA's because, just like me, the stroke fixed itself, but has left its footprint.
