Eating

I felt terrible.  Yesterday, I was so tired, I could barely move.  After having my Mean Green, I felt better.  I stuck to water and fruit juices the rest of the day, which made me shake.  My throat hurt and it's hard to explain the sensation...like I was so hungry it hurt to breathe.  I don't know.  I ended up having a piece of bread and five sweet potato french fries.  It is ridiculous how much better I felt after eating so little.  I woke up in the middle of the night because the pain in my elbows (wtf?) woke me up.  I came upstairs, took some pain killers with water and had about another ten french fries.  I began to feel better, so I fell asleep on the couch.  When I finally got up for the day, I felt back to my old self.  My three day juice fast is over.  I had a piece of pecan french toast for breakfast, which took me over an hour to eat.  I also had a half glass of milk.  I am so not hungry, it's weird.  I'm going to try to eat a little more and see how that goes.  I think that, if I do the juice fast again, I will have to do more vegetable juices, as disgusting as they are.  I just need to find the ones that I like and stick to those that way I get the nutrients I need.  Juicing shouldn't make you feel like you're on the verge of death.

So, I didn't end up having the Watering Pineapple yesterday.  I did have some of the broccoli, apple, peach juice we made the night before.  I had a little water and that was about it.  I woke up this morning and I could tell the difference.  I was lethargic.  I had so little energy I didn't think I could make it up the stairs to the main floor.  After starting a load of laundry, I made a cranberry, pineapple, apple juice and it was very good.  It made a marked improvement on my condition and I was able to do another load of laundry, make breakfast, make the Mean Green for today, and go outside to thin my radish sprouts.  Unfortunately, it's so windy that it is impossible to stay outside for a prolonged period of time.  I will have to transplant the remainder later when I thin my beet sprouts.

The juice was terrible.  It took me two hours to drink my Mean Green yesterday morning, but I did it.  In the afternoon, I had a carrot, orange, and greens drink.  I don't like orange juice so it was hard to get down.  I only ended up drinking about half of it.  In the evening, we experimented with other recipes and made what I will be having today.  Again, I will be starting with the Mean Green.  Later, I have the Watering Pineapple to look forward to.

Before I started, I was at my heaviest weight.  I was 185-ish pounds.  When I weighed myself yesterday morning, I was down to 180.6.  This morning I weighed myself and I am at 178.2.  I had tried Weight Watchers and lots about twelve pounds, but I quickly gained it back.  It was easy, at first, to use my points or less, but once I lost enough weight to lower my points, it was hard to stick to it.  I always felt hungry.  With the juicing system, I don't feel hungry, but I do want to eat.  It's nice to do a small juice fast, so I know what to expect if I decide to do a longer one later.  I like the results I'm already seeing, but the process is expensive.

Losing weight

I've started a short three day juice fast reboot.  I'm starting with the Mean Green from Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead.  It tastes terrible.  We've also made a more fruity juice drink for later in the day which at least tastes alright, so I'm looking forward to drinking it.  Once the school year starts, I'm planning to add exercise to my schedule.
