I am back from vacation.  Maybe the lack of stress has done me well as I am feeling great and have clear skin for the first time since last year when I finished my first accutane treatment.  After the accutane, I had very dry skin and was applying cream and vasaline twice a day to keep my skin from not drying up.  My skin is not very soft and I have only the light scars from my acne cysts I had last year.

I still take differin daily at nights.  Not sure if it makes a difference, but my skin flares up at any moment so I am not going off it.  It is the summer and the weather is not dry.  I tend to do better during these months.  Even though, every acne dermatologist or doctor has always said my skin will be more sensitive to the sun, the sun has helped my skin dull the scars.

I was on accutane and was doing great, but I have been off it now for about 6 months.  My skin is getting a bit more oily and I am breaking out again.  I thought I was through acne, but it keeps coming back.
I just try to keep positive, since I have tried so many different prescriptions.
I am back to using differin as a topical cream.  Lets see if it works???

I took accutane six months ago.  Prior to that I tried all types of topical creams and antibiotics like doxycyclene.
My cholesterol went up a bit during treatment, but it back down.  My skin used to be really dry, but it is better now.
I have only had 2 deep cystic pimples in the past few months which is a much better than before.

I am happy it is all better and hope it continues.  I hear that it can come back, I hope that does not happen.
