38W4D.  Everything looked good.  She was even able to identify a foot!! lol.  Ryder is head down, his heartbeat was excellent and he was squirming around a fair amount.  She measured me as usual, and I forgot to ask what the measurments were, but she said it was perfect.  We talked about me fainting yesterday, and there is really no explanation, but she did say it happens sometimes. Warned me that if I felt dizzy to make sure I sat down as we don't want me falling.  

I am almost 2cm dilated and the contractions continue.  They are still too far apart to time though, but there is consistancy when they happen.  Start out easy, get more intense, then taper off.  Lasting about 30-45 seconds.  They do take my breathe away a bit now.  

I am feeling a bit apprehensive, but nothing abnormal.  I am just letting myself feel the way I feel and talking it out with Warren.  

Dr. wants me to have an ultrasound on friday.  I am having a bit of on and off spotting, so she wants to have a look at the placenta.  She said she also would like to get some accurate measurments on Ryder.  She has no concerns about low birthweight or anything, but not a bad thing to know ahead of time.  I can't wait to have another look at him.  

Next app. is Thursday the 28th...3 days before due date.  Her final words were....maybe I'll see you then, maybe not. I know this could still be a week or two...what will be will be I guess.  The waiting is killing me though..lol.  

Baby Beaner

I fainted today.  I was feeling perfectly fine one second, next was super dizzy.  I'm glad I sat down.  It took what seemed like 10 or 15 minutes afterward for my vision to clear and for me to be able to focus my eyes.  I had a horrid headache and was really nauseus.  I called my OB's office and they told me to go to L&D and get checked out.  I called Warren at work, he came home right away and got me and off we went.

I love this hospital...they are just wonderful.  Of course by the time we got there I was feeling much better and felt a bit silly.  They reassured me that it was better to get checked out.  They strapped on the monitors and Ryder's heartbeat was nice and strong.  No signs of him being in distress at all.  They left it on for quite some time.  They also had me hold what looked like a call button and push it everytime he moved.  He chose that time to get really active, so I was pushing it almost non stop for awhile..lol, they took it away from me.

They did a bunch of bloodwork..not sure exactly for what, but I do know they tested for bloodsugar and iron levels.  Everything came back normal.  They also did an ECG, laying and standing blood pressure.  Again, everything fine.  

I guess just one of those weird things that happens.  I was released and felt fine the rest of the night, although Warren waited on me hand and foot...didn't mind that part..lol.  

Baby Beaner

Really bad acid reflux.  Cramping/contractions are increasingly more painful.  They actually take my breath away for a few seconds.  Inconsistant though, can't even time though so it's not labor.  Just really really uncomfortable.  Woke me up.  Still really tired and Ryder feels like he is sitting on my pelvis or something.  I feel really heavy.  Still lots of discharge, sometimes watery, sometime mucousy.  It's not my water breaking though as it comes and goes.  Ryder was not as active today as yesterday, but still busy.  38w1d.  13 days till due date!

I need to start journaling every day. I want to be able to look back at this time and remember every single minute of it!!

I cannot believe I am 38 weeks!!  Ryder is squirming like crazy these days, I don't think this baby ever sleeps...and I love feeling him!!  Woke up today feeling very heavy toward my pelvis.  Honestly, it feels like he will just fall out...lol, if only it would be that easy.  

Increase in contractions, but nothing that makes me feel like "this is it" or anything.  They are stronger and sometimes painful, but I am pretty sure it's still just Braxton Hicks.  Woke up at 5:30 this morning feeling like I had slept a week!!  I had the best sleep I have had in a while last night.

Don't feel like doing much though, so just going to hang around the house in my sweats and relax.  A good day to finish cleaning out the closets perhaps!!
