December 6-12, 2008: first period at the age of 13 years
Late December 2009/early January 2010: started experiencing depression and began visiting a psychologist
January 28, 2010: first round of antidepressants and also blood work to determine any underlying causes of the depression
Early February 2010: doctor's office calls back and notes high insulin and high levels of testosterone in my blood = referral to pediatric endocrinologist
February 18, 2010: first appointment at the specialized doctor's office... diagnosed with PCOS due to these abnormal levels, age 14
Followup to doctor's appointment: prescription - begin taking 3 Metformin tablets once a day at the dosage of 750 mg per pill
July 2011: continuous abnormal periods - doctor prescribes birth control as well
December 2011/January 2012: internal ultrasound to determine health of ovaries (prior suspected cysts)... the results showed rather healthy ovaries without cysts - doctor says may relate to young age, it is possible to develop them later on
Today: overwhelmed in medications
3 Metformin tablets po daily - 750 mg each
1 Citalopram tablet po daily - 20 mg each
1 Ocella tablet po daily
