I only have 4 shots left (5 weeks of RIBA) but I can fill my blood levels dropping.  I don't know why the procrit isn't working.  I'm feeling pretty rough.  Additude is good though with only 5 weeks to go.  Hopefully that will get me through.

Darn, I reduced the Riba for a week, am taking procrit, and I can't seem to get the hemoglobin past 8.6.  Now my nutrophils are dropping as well.  They came up a lot with the reduction 3 weeks ago.  I was planning on going out of town for a couple days but my Dr is advising against it - mainly because of the netrophils.  I'm sooooo close.  I just want to finish and stay UND.

Got a call from the pharmacist regarding the Ribapak script.  Apparently, the vendor has raised the $ by $400.00 and he cannot find another vendor that will offer it.  His contract with my insurance will not pay the extra $400.  So, in the meantime I'm running out of "blue" pills.  I called in the script 2 wks ago to allow for any problems.  There are always problems with something.  So, here I was on the phone, calling other pharmacies.  My Dr. office calling also reps to try to get a supply.  

I found one, so my script was transferred to another pharmacy.  Of course, after the transfer was complete, I got a call saying they couldn't deliver.  Ahhhhhhhhh, finally, got it from another specialty pharmacy.  Only took 2 days.  A record, I'm sure.

I've been on  a Riba reduction since 2 days after my last dr. vist.  about 2 wks.  dr. appt in one more week.   New office staff & nurses at dr's office won't give me my lab results until I see the dr.  So, I will just go on feeling.  Feeling better now and increased by Riba back to 800 mgs.  

I know my hb has increased, I'm not waiting another wk before uping my dose.  I didn't like the idea of reducing anway.
