Fibro Fog

Apr 25, 2011 - 0 comments

Wow, I have so much Fibromyalgia Fog that I'd completely forgotten about this site (& it'll probably happen again!!)  Ugh!!  Well, in 2009, I was diagnosed with MCTD, Fibromyalgia (big time confirmation - love those pressure points!) & Breast Cancer.  In February, 2010, I had a bilateral mastectomy then in June I had my permanent implants "installed".  I don't like them!!!  I didn't have to do any treatments or meds after....I'm cured!  I take meds for my MCTD (still just the plaquenil) & Cymbalta for the Fibro.  With this autoimmune stuff....this all may change tomorrow!!  Hope all is well with everyone!!!  ~Mia

I've done 30 minutes of exercise on our wii fit for the last two evenings.  I'm actually feeling pretty good.  They are no to low impact stretches, yoga, etc.  I'm trying to build a little muscle in certain "rear" areas :)!!  Slept pretty good last night (didn't want to get out of bed this morning!!!).  It's a very stressful day at work.  I haven't had any reflux this morning.  Haven't had my apple cider vinegar water or any of those type meds.  I just ate lunch and can feel a little coming on.  Dang.....was hoping the reflux problems would just magically go away.  Oh well.  Hope all is great for everyone today.  :)!!!!!

A.M.
200 mg Plaquenil
600 mg Calcium

P.M.
200 mg Plaquenil
600 mg Calcium
50 mg Aldactone (for acne)
81 mg Aspirin

As needed Xanax 0.5 mg, 1-bid.  I usually only take one a day in the evenings.  Helps with the reflux symptoms (goes to show that stress does play a role) and I get a great nights sleep!

Was taking 4 prilosec a day....that's all that would work for my reflux
Went to see Gastro doc...he put me on Nexium, one on the morning.  Didn't work at all!!!!!
Now using 1 tsp of Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar "with Mother" mixed with 8 oz of water (I try for three bottles, all before 2 p.m.).  That and one prilosec before meals seems to be working OK.  Have a visit with a new Gastro doc (didn't like the 1st) on March 18th.

If it weren't for the reflux symptoms, I'd be doing pretty well.  Slight headache (because I haven't eaten anything yet and it's 10:15 a.m.).  No aches and pains really.  Trying to concentrate on relaxing, deep breaths, letting my shoulders drop.  I used a Christmas gift certificate day before yesterday and had a massage.  She said the same thing as my Rheumy.  I have some rotator cuff (sp?)  issues.  She said my muscles between my shoulders and ears were so tight.  Hunching over at work to get to my computer/estimating board probably causing this.  Relax relax relax relax.  Oh sorry, was chanting outl loud, LOL!     I have sero-negative type Rheumatoid, possible Psoriatic Arthritis and possible Lupus overlap.  Only other problem besides reflux....cysts in left breast.  Looks like I'm going to have to have a few drained. YAY, more fun!!!  Don't ya just love doctor visits?!?!?!  Hope all is well for everyone out here!!!!
