Heather and I talked about the immediate future. We agreed that her safety and that of the boys' was paramount. We agreed that when the returned home and Heather perceived a problem she would tell me and I would leave immediately, under controlled circumstances. I saw straight away that this was not an option, but a requirement and essential to our survival as a family. A safe word word could be 'Titanic', meaning: 'women and children first'. We also agreed that we shouldn't be rushed into the return to #8 because of C&G's time limit and finances. This makes me feel secure. The more reassured Heather is when she returns the better for all of us.
