Been takin 4-6 percocet a day for about a week! the main reason why is friend just got a script for it! At this point I feel that the only way to quit all this **** is to stop talking to my friends! I really dont want to but it seems the only way at this point! Thats the thing that pisses me off, if theres pills in front of me I will do them! I thoght I had more self controll than that but i dont! Now I have to take more durastic measures like ending relationships with friends!! It ***** but thats what has to happen!!

you are not alone on this one bro. as addicts we have to distance ourselves from the ones we  have come to know and love. i cant hang wit ne of my friends , as most of them use. gettin clean can mean a total life change, and while isolation may not be the answer, distancing ourselves from those that use and trigger us is an absolute necessity! it really blows, but it is hard enough for me to resist using , let alone having the added pressure of seeing a friend and know they are "holding" , so i just cut them ties. hopefully we can make new friends that are not users, and when that happens we will be one step closer to living a sober life. and dont feel bad, cuz if i show up and coke is there, ima do it . just part of bein an addict, one part we can cut if we must. best of luck, n keep tha chin up.......

Recovery is simple (not EASY), you just have to change everything.
CHange your playgrounds, playmates and everything you "thought"
Sounds fun, Huh?  Well, there are many of us out here that have done it, and succeeded.  Just reach out and you will find us.
