Twitching, burning today

Nov 20, 2007 09:09AM - 2 comments

I have some twitching in my thigh and my feet are on fire - typical day for me!  Will continue working and pretending the pain is not there:)  I also started taking Baclofen - it makes me sleep longer, but I am sick of all the drugs - Neurontin, Famvir, Pamelor, Cymbalta, Tranxene for sleep.  I feel like my liver is going to shrivel up!  Trying magnesium malate this week as a supplement....will update on it's effect.

Hi Hope,
Am back at home, I hope I didn't block you from posting, Brian and I were trying to work out which block or unblock to let others in, anyway I am feeling no better, I am currently really pissed at the moment and totally fed up.
I am still dizzy, every day 24/7 especially when I look up or to the side, driving worries me, my feet are still numb underneath and if I rub hand over tops of them they vibrate, tingling comes now only in hot shower or heat, I get mild twitching still all over, groin tingling still comes and goes, I still get burning and cold icy spots. Up legs still have altered sensation, everything still links to ms, went to neuro last week, he tells me ms less than 3% and that my thryroid antibodies are very high and can cause my symptons, its called (don't have the correct spelling with me), Hashimotos enc............. some long name, very rare but when I googled the name it says nothing about tingling, numbness, hot, cold spots, so he has put me on steroids and says he will be very surprised it they don't take away symptons after my 9 day course, today is day 5 and so far no change, I just have to call him after day 9. He also told me in his 20 years of being neuro only twice has he come across people with ms and clear mri's, 1 lady after 20 years and another had lesions after 2 years show up. I know I have suffered with this dizziness before and been to the dr who told me it was benign vertigo and would go away. I have been having these symptons now since June last year and am so fed up, most things have subsided but do come back in heat, thats why ms is always at the back of my mind still, and this dizziness is driving me nuts, can I ask you how long you had the dizziness for? My feet are always purring as well nothing seems to be normal and over the hols for about 6 weeks in my left eye the only way I can describe it is like I felt like there was a little wriggly worm inside my eye ball on the outer side wriggling on and off all the  time, it come and went 24/7 for about 6 weeks then stopped. The neuro told me to google this thyroid thing now I wish I hadn't, so when I call him I will have to ask him where the info is that gives the same symptons as ms. You feeling ok, back to normal yet or are you still having any ongoing problems? Hope to hear from you soon. Melissa
