The first attack was years ago, the symptoms severity and frequency have changed. The attack starts with a tingling and wreathing effect around head. I would call it pins and needles like one gets from hitting the not so funny spot on the elbow. My face may turn bright red, blue, or go flush white. At this point the my heart rate elevates and has been known to go above 200 beats a minute instantly. Breathing becomes very difficult all the while pain increases exponentially. At some point I can no longer take it and become incoherent or pass out completely.
That is the basic attack.
The second one I had after work driving home. OCT 27th
I felt my heart rate elevate and woke in the hospital after hitting a tree and a car. I have no recollection of anything after my heart raced. I was told I had a panic attack, and told to seek psychiatric treatment and not to drive till august.
I was still a smoker at this point and sedentary except for my job.
The third attack happened at my mother's home. I was using the apartment upstairs. I tried to beat the attack. I awoke with c-pap unit on face covered in cold sweat and in shock. I am not certain I should say I woke up, I should say came to. I never told anyone about this attack.
The fourth attack I walked from upstairs apartment to my mother's house maybe 75 feet away. heart racing I took a Valium to stop the "panic attack" I was told I was having by Erlanger's Doctors. Within 10 minutes I was writhing pain level of 15 and beginning to loose consciousness. Paramedics arrived and tried to get me to walk to the ambulance. I told them I couldn't breath after three tries at this and dropping me. I awoke intubated in the ER. The pain was tremendous and full body and I had diarrhea with blood in stool.
The fifth attack was in my mother's house I remained consciouses the entire time. While the panic disorder prognosis kept popping up other things where found. Diagnoses included COPD/AAT Empysema, Bipolar disorder, and the most severe panic attack reaction anyone had ever seen.
The sixth attack I stayed upstairs and called my mother, I have no recollection of anything for several hours after this incident. It was found I had lactic acidosis. I also had diarrhea with blood in stool.
The seventh attack was mild but while in the hospital.
The eighth attack was at a friend's house. I have no recollection of the attack and told the ER staff the years was 98 and it was Tuesday. It was Sunday 08
.
Now here is the problem, I am not afraid of it. It just hurts beyond belief. I have now noticed I cannot remember the incident. Over the past two years I have noticed traveling numbness and tremors I cannot control. I hurt constantly in my core muscles and in my arms and legs at a 5 on the pain scale push 6 or seven daily.
I have started to get extreme headaches that push a 9 on the pain scale these can be full head or face or the worst being base of neck.
I have now been plagued with a ring of pressure and pain in my chest constantly and the last few days it is approaching an 8 on the pain scale. I try to keep my mind off it with chore but tire out within a few minutes. It takes me two hours to do 45 minutes worth of work. I am severely depressed, and not medicated for my Bipolar disorder. I have a hard time staying on meds. I have also lost a lot of cognative function. I want to have a normal life back....
