Isn't every single day the 1st day?  If I look at eating and exercise as a brand new day, a brand new meal, a brand new excitement - it seems fairly easy to get on track and even keep on track.  

Why is it so hard to stay on track?  Boredom, loss of excitement and joy.  Keep it fresh.  Keep it new and perhaps everyday will be one filled with joy and awakening.
