need help to make a desicion about neck surgery

hy everybody I have C4 C5 & C5 C6 hernietions with bone spur they are compressing on the spinal cord and my C4 COLLAPES, if I recall right, I am suppost to have a fusion in a month with DR Barth Green out of the University of Miami, but I am reading so many comments about how bad the fusion is that I am scared now, and I was wondering if anybody knows or had done the Artificial disck replacment on multiple discks.
Please help me!!!
