Another day, more drama.
The nuerosurgeon - (one Andrew Parker) "looking after" my wife until a neurologist becomes available was about as insulting as you could get today.
Not only did he have a whine about not really wanting to baby sit her until someone else became available, he also suggested that it was all in her head anyways, and how long did she intend on having this eye problem for?
Incredibly insulting and really just highlights his own inadequacies and social ineptness.  The man is most certainly 'a plumber' as he put it, and shouldn't be allow to speak (condescend) to any patients.
How does he explain my wifes left pupil being fully dilated and often unresponsive to a torch being shone into it.  I'm almost certain that no one on the planet has the ability to control their pupils and override such primal functions as light response.  To infer as much makes me question his abilty to rationalise fact from fiction.
Not to mention, motive - why would she be doing this in any case?  She hates hospitals and loves her job.  She doesn't choose to have this problem or be in hospital and really wants normal life to resume asap!

hopefully we'll have more luck with the opthamologist this afternoon.  Even if he can see anything new, which I doubt he will, we should be able to get on record the degradation of her vision since the spinal shunt was installed.
Hopefully with that info, we can push for futher investigation into her situation, and not just 'baby sitting' and watching her go slowly blind and in agony as her migraine continues to rage, unchecked in over a month now.
