Asthma Note

Jul 30, 2009 12:00AM - 2 comments

I got the results back from my Theophylline level.  I'm at a ten, and since I'm doing well I'm not feeling particularly inclined to raise it.  My Pulmonary Specialist is satisfied with it as well.

I was expecting a serious attack from mold today, but I must be even better controlled than I thought.  I took a little Symbicort, and some Xopenex later tonight.  I'm coughing a lot of mucus though, so I am going to need to do some good CPT tomorrow morning.

Good day overall, and I still love Qvar!

Numbers are actually down, so I might try a little harder on my CPT tonight.  I feel like I'm breathing underwater.  I'm just too tired to cough, but my oxygen saturation is dipping.  *sigh*  Only a tiny bit though.

PEFR: 360 (still green)  --was 340 before symbicort around lunch time, took xopenex about an hour ago before steroids.

Sp02: 97% (Not bad at all, but the first time I've been it below 99 in days (for asthma related reasons at least)...)

FEV1: 2.62

Sounds like you're getting on top of your asthma. Glad the Qvar is working out. I definately want to enquire about that one.

I'm even shocked by how useful it's turned out to be!  It's certainly made breathing into a more enjoyable activity!  :)
