I need some help!

May 17, 2008 07:23PM - 5 comments

Please see my profile for an explanation.  I am suffering from very high blood pressure lately, which I cannot seem to get under control even with my meds.  And now I am shaking in my arms and hands.  I have a lot of fatigue and you may see my profile for a list of operations that I have had.  I also have only one kidney from birth.  Recently, I had a mild heart attack, shortness of breath, etc., and I did not even know it.  My heart rate is very high, even when I first get up in the mornings, and my blood pressure (both systolic and diastolic) is the highest when I first wake up.
I don't smoke, or drink, or do drugs.  I exercise.  I got off of birth control and Coca Cola (which I drank way too much of to try and give me energy to keep going).  I have had two high risk preganancies (premies) and two back surgeries for scoliosis, and one open heart surgery to patch a hole in my heart; but they still tell me I have some heart problems.
I also suffer terribly from awful migraine headaches ever since my last back surgery, and probably have eroding disks in my lower back which are very painful.  I had two before because of the scoliosis, but the doctors fixed those when they went in and did the last back surgery.  I am very concerned about my high blood pressure and what might be causing it, and why I can't get it under control.  Also, recently started this shaking and tremors in my hands and arms.
The doctors I go to do not seem concerned at all about my health, but I am.  I know something is wrong and I never feel well, especially fatigued since my last child was born who is now 18 months old.  Can someone please give me some idea as to what might be going on with my health issues?  Also, not too many weeks ago, one of my eyes got really red and swollen badly.  The doctor did not know what cause it, but said it should go away in a couple of weeks.
It didn't,  It was over a month before my vision was not blurry any more and all the swelling went down.  What should I do if the doctors act like nothing is wrong with me.  SOMETHING IS!!!   If you can help me, please tell me something that I should be considering here that the doctors are not

Thank you!

have you had your thyroid checked?  that's how i felt when i had hyperthyroidism before my thyroid crashed and i'm now hypothyroid.  i think i read recently in the research i've been doing that your thyroid can go all wacky after childbirth.... i'll see what i can dig up for ya.
