Finished at last!

May 18, 2008 07:59AM - 8 comments

I am finished with tx now and don't have a care or concern what-so-ever!  I know that it is in Gods hands now and I have faith.  I have conquered many things in my life and this is just another thing to add to my list of accomplishments.  I felt kinda like an outsider on this forum.  There seemed to be a click of people 'the in-crowd' on this forum and others I talked with agreed.  That's o.k....What I do find disconcerting is that no one has responded to my poem "My Ode to TX" yet.  Normally this would have really bothered me and I might have done something impulsive but right now I don't care.

An in-crowd? I can only speak from my own experience. A friend of mine compared it with soldiers who go to war. There are those who have gone before you. They help you find your way, they give you advice. There are those who come at the same time as you, who fight next to you. You support each other during the struggle. They become your best friends, you watch each other's backs. There are those who come when your struggle is almost over. You have become weary of all the fighting. There are so many new soldiers, you cannot remember each and everyone. Some of them stick out, maybe because you have some bad experience in common with them. You notice them. You try to at least help some of the newcomers. But also you want to leave room for them because the newcomers will quickly learn and become as eager as you once were to help others. You don't feel the need to always be quick to answer the questions, confident as you are that there are others who have the answers as well, and knowing fully well how much it meant to you to have this haven of sharing with others what you just learnt.

TeeVee, actually, you have been one of those I noticed. Maybe I am not one of the in-crowd, I don't know, but I noticed you.

I am weary though after 72 weeks of battle.

Hi TeeVee36

Hey there Zazza,  In-crowd indeed.  I so, whole heartedly, agree with your analogy about the soldiers, and you were one of my soldier pals who went before me.  Congratulations, you are just plain awesome.  I absolutely love that you are done.  Now you've got me wondering who is in the 'in-crowd'?  If I had to guess I think I'd include Geter., jmjm, guaf, sfbaygirl,Lady Lauri, Mikkimoe, the  not so spice girls, (myself excluded).  I've always been kinda geeky.

Back in school days, we used to call anyone who was different,(odd, shy, unhandsome, down right ugly, stinky, etc. an 'AUDIO' .  There was usually an audiovisual closet, housing projectors, screens, and that type of equipment, and the Audio closet was *placed between the girls and boys rooms.  I heard that they did this* to keep the boys from poking holes in the walls to peek at the girls, in the restroom.  Don't ask me why I know this.

I'm off to read your poem. I hope it's in your Journals .  I'll find it.  Back in a bit, Hugs, you cool chick you,  Bevy

zazza congratulation on your completion of treatment and yes we were soldiers and it is out of your hands as well as ours going forward and as now, as during, we need to live in the present moment to the fullest and live in that moment and to be in it but not of it for there is no one I have met that we won’t meet again.
Cheers!
