Don't Know What U R Allergic 2 ?

chemicals; allergens

There are so many people now, including children, who have numerous allergies. For some reason, the number of people with allergies continues to grow and I suspect that it will keep growing. And when these people go to our allergist for help, he/she is only able to test us for a certain amount of allergens. So how do we know what we are allergic to and how do we find out ourselves ? I know in my case, my immune system was constantly fighting something that I could never tell what I was allergic to, probably because I was so overloaded !

In my quest for health.... one thing I've learned is to get rid of ALL of the toxic cleaners that I had in the house. I realized that I no longer needed them anymore. There are now cleaners that don't have any toxins, fumes, phosphates, perfumes and dyes. Baking soda and white distilled vinegar alone are two great cleaners. I now have a bottle of white distilled vinegar mixed in with water. And I purchased Bissell's mutli-purpose cleaner with vinegar to clean my windows. I also purchase Seventh Generation cleaners. Anyway, after I did all of this, I found a couple of chemicals in hair products that I was allergic to . These were products that I was using every single day and had I not removed those other toxic chemicals, I probably would have never known that I had other allergies. I can actually recognize when I'm having an allergic reaction now and know what I'm reacting to ! This has helped me a great deal and I would highly recommended this for people who have allergies and even for those people who don't have allergies as well. Why use toxic cleaners when we have safer alternatives ?

For those people who suspect that they have food allergies, there is a way to find out. For two weeks straight, you need to go without corn, wheat, dairy products and sugar. By the end of the two weeks, I suspect that you will be feeling better (I know I did). And then you slowly re-introduce these products one by one into your diet again. This way you can find out if you are allergic to any of these foods. You do not have to go without all four of these foods at once... you can start with the wheat products for two weeks and then do dairy the following two weeks.

Interesting. I know I tested positive for lots of environemntal allergins... Thing is if I wanted to live in an allergy free world, I'd be in a prestine hospital setting...  Not my idea of a good life, so I put up with the sinus allergies and take allergy meds.. I'm sure the Claritin people love me..

If you want to know something interesting, try lcopying this and pasting this into your google search box:

hookworms "asthma"

Gross but strangely true... I think my hay fever allergies would have to get a LOT worse for me to consider that kind of "cure", lol.

I'm gathering from reading some of the articles, it may be because things evolve to live with stress or some kind of defect. Including parasites.  The humans with the strongest immune systems likely survived and thrived the best.  Take the parasites out of the environment along with other pathagins, people with aggressive immune systems (that would have otherwise likely put these people in an advantage over people with weaker immune systems) don't have the worms to fight, so it becomes a problem because the cells in turn overreact to anything they can find, including other cells in the body.

Just something interesting.

MJIthewriter,

Interesting thoughts. You know I think it was Dr. OZ on Oprah who said that an estimated 80-90% of people have had parasites at one time or another. Now how many of us have actually been diagnosed with parasites ?  ; ^ )

How many people would want to find that out to get diagnosed? I know I wouldn't...  Something about the thought of having something foreign and feeding off my body makes me squirm... If these parasites are there in my body, I rather not have that brought to my conscious awareness.

But then again I've been conditioned by society to think of germs as gross...wash hands before eating, clean the house with disinfectants, whatnot... Meanwhile likely contributing to the problem of producing super bacteria...

I found about the parasitic worms watching Animal Planet when I was at someone's place.  I was pretty grossed out for the rest of the week, lol.

I also saw something interesting on termites a while ago around 2005. They have a variety of organisms inside their gut.  Without them they can't digest wood and would starve. One of the organisms inside them is actually harmful. (I can't find an internet source to back that up, but it was mentioned on the show. If I remember either it did harm to the termite or the other protests in the termite's gut.

Yeah I strayed from the topic a little, I know, lol.
