4. There are different classifications of signs which point to Jesus' coming.

The first classification of signs are signs within the church on earth. Those signs are:

a. The coming of false Christs, false prophets and teachers, who are little antichrists,

Matthew 24:4 And answering, Jesus said to them, “Watch out that no one deceives you.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets will arise and will deceive many.

b. The rise of false religions and churches and sects

Matthew 24:4 And answering, Jesus said to them, “Watch out that no one deceives you.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets will arise and will deceive many.

c. The rise of false teachings and doctrines which come from demons

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, following deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,
1 Timothy 4:2 by means of the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, who have been seared in their own conscience with a red hot branding iron,
1 Timothy 4:3 who forbid people to marry and command them to abstain from food which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

d. Lying wonders, miracles and signs performed by the false prophets and teachers by the power of the devil

2 Thessalonians 2:9 . . . namely, the one whose coming is in accordance with the working of Satan in all power and signs and lying wonders.

Matthew 24:24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will perform great signs and wonders, in order to deceive, if that were possible, even the elect.

e. The Great Antichrist: All false prophets and teachers whose teachings conflict with Christ and his pure gospel are little antichrists. They put themselves and their teachings in place of Christ. There is one Great Antichrist, however, whose coming 1 John 2:18 and 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 spoke of. The presence of these antichrists tell us we are in the last hour leading up to Christ's second coming in glory.

Jesus loves each & everyone of us!! I have said it many times b4 accept christ n2 ur lives 2day!! 4 tomorrow is not promised 2 any of us!!! The signs are here JESUS is coming soon!!! Love bs4c:

A religious spirit rejects progressive revelation and refuses to embrace change. This is why many churches become irrelevant to society. They become so focused on what God did 50 years ago that they become stuck in a time warp—and cannot move forward when the Holy Spirit begins to speak in new ways. When religious groups refuse to shift with God’s new directives, they become “old wineskins” and God must find more flexible vessels that are willing to implement His changes!

Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off.  – Romans 11:22!! bs4c:

A Baptist minister was arrested this morning on charges of stealing more than $800,000 from the church he leads in Compton, officials said.
The Rev. E. Joshua Sims, pastor of Double Rock Baptist Church in Compton, was taken into custody this morning at his home in Corona, said Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The arrest concludes a months-long investigation by sheriff's deputies, Whitmore said.
Between March 2000 and September 2008, investigators believe, Sims diverted church funds into a personal account, said Jane Robison, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. When church members began questioning his finances Sims allegedly threatened them during his sermons, she said.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Compton on charges of grand theft by embezzlement, money laundering and witness intimidation, Robison said. Prosecutors will request that bail be set at $1.2 million, she said.
Church officials were not immediately available for comment.
The Compton Bulletin reported last year that Sims stunned members of his congregation when he revealed at a meeting in September that he took thousands of dollars a month in “household allowances” without first obtaining the approval of the church’s board. Sims was also said to have told the meeting that more than $1 million was missing from church coffers.
According to the church website, Sims is a California native who was raised in Compton and grew up attending Double Rock Baptist. Before he was installed as pastor in 1998 he served on the ushers board, sang in the choir, taught Bible studies and was cast as the scarecrow in a church production of “The Wiz, Gospel Style.” Sims was ordained in 1983 and has preached at several other churches in Los Angeles County and elsewhere in the country, the site says

God tells us that in these last days! That people will be using his name 2 get what they want! Repent and return to ur 1st love: bs4c:

Evangelical Lutherans allow some gays, lesbians to become clergy
They must be in monogamous, lifelong relationships
Friday,  August 21, 2009 9:04 PM
BY MEREDITH HEAGNEY
THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
The country's largest Lutheran denomination has voted to allow gays and lesbians who are in monogamous, lifelong relationships to serve as clergy and professional lay workers of the church.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) also voted in support of congregations that choose to "recognize" same-sex relationships, a move some say could lead to greater acceptance of same-sex blessings in Lutheran churches.
The votes, cast today at the ELCA's Churchwide Assembly in Minneapolis, thrilled advocates for fuller inclusion of gays and lesbians in the church.
But the Rev. Paul Ulring, pastor of the three-campus, 5,000-member Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, said the decisions made by about

1,045 delegates likely will have a disastrous effect on church unity.

God loves a homosexuall but he does not like the homosexuall ways!!!

by boldsojah4christ, Aug 23, 2009 11:30AM
A friend of mine here on m.h. Did a journal post on choosing a baby gender! About how Britain is taking on this role! China is already doing it only wanting males!! So I posted this about the anti-Christ & what he would be like! In my opinnion the stage is being set 4 this!

Will the Antichrist be a homosexual?

This question arises from the following Scripture about Antichrist:
“Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all” (Dan. 11:37).

Many Bible scholars believe that the phrase “desire of women” here means that Antichrist, the world’s last and most terrible tyrant, will be homosexual. Other scholars believe that the “desire of women” mentioned here refers to Jesus Christ, the Messiah, as longed for among Jewish women who desire that the prophesied Christ be born to them.

Another opinion might be more accurate. That is, this man will be so arrogant that nothing and no one can deter him from loving himself above all else. He will, much like Adolf Hitler, consider himself far too important to give much regard to women –especially to one woman.

by April2, Aug 23, 2009 03:29PM
I love how you make us think. I read that scripture many times, I'm sure, but never really pondered what it could mean. You sure challenge us, Bold! That's what I love about you, my brother. :)

This is why we have to rely on God and not man. Man is fallible. God is not. He will keep us steady if we keep our eyes fixed on Him. God bless you, my friend. Keep challenging us! I love it! :)

by teko, Aug 23, 2009 03:40PM
The Bible says, we are either for him or against him. We cannot be lukewarm so to speak. We meet people all the time who claim they are believers but the only proof is they attend church.  It is also my understanding that you must believe in the entity. That being God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost which was left with us when Jesus ascended into heaven, that we could have a direct line to God in Jesus name and with the power of the Holy Ghost. I hear people say they believe in God but not sure about the rest of it. What say you?  Have you ever been slain in the spirit, do you believe in the gifts of healing, speaking in tongues, prayer language, anyone?  Oh this is sooo interesting!

by teko, Aug 23, 2009 03:47PM
I got carried away there didnt I? To respond to the original post, I do believe we live in end times but do not believe it is the end time as yet. I guess that depends on if you believe in Pre Trib or Post Trib.  I do not believe that christians will go thru all of it, but do believe we will experience a good part of it.  The bible does speak of nuclear war and speaks of how men will not be able to go out of there houses after dark for fear of being raped by men. It also speaks of tortures handed down to christians just like in the old days just because we are believers.  I do not see us quite there yet, but real close.

by boldsojah4christ, Aug 23, 2009 04:12PM
Amen 2 April & teko! April you know I always ask & pray that God gives me wisdom & understanding! I try 2c things in the spirit! I think the last post I did 2 me is setting the stage 4 countries that only want one gender! We as men & women of God need 2b alert @ all times! & watch the signs that are taking place!

Teko yes I believe in the trinity! As far As end times go I believe we are living in that time now! Because Jesus said in his word that we where living n the end times when he walked the earth & preached the gospel! Remember the 12 disciples ask him how will we know the signs of the times! & he replied by saying when you see wars rumors wars, people becoming lovers of themselves, etc. So this is nothing new under the sun ! But now things are becoming more evident than it was in the disciples days!!!

by April2, Aug 23, 2009 04:14PM
Teko, I've never been slain in the spirit. I don't think I'd be able to let go of control enough for that! I've seen and heard a lot, though. Sometimes I wonder what's really from God and who's pretending, you know? That's why if I visit a new church or see something I wonder about I will pray silently asking God to give me wisdom and discernment to tell what's from Him or not. We are told, of course, that many false prophets will be out there more and more.

I believe in the gifts of the spirit, but I also believe many people abuse them. We must all be so careful to always honor God in whatever gifts He decides to give us and give Him the glory. I don't like it when I see people act arrogant or like they're better than someone else because they have certain gifts, which I've seen way more times than I'd care to see!

My mom has dreams that she feels God gives her. It's pretty interesting.

By the way, Christians ARE being tortured right now for their beliefs. Have you ever read "Tortured for Christ"? There are lots of Christians being persecuted in other countries right now for their faith. Countries like Africa, Asia, the middle East. They all need our prayers so much. Their faith is amazing in the face of torture and death. I think here in America we've grown lazy and weak. We all need to have a strong faith in these troubling times.

by April2, Aug 23, 2009 04:18PM
The gender selecting is troubling, has been for some time. From my understanding, China has been doing it for so long that they have way more males than females now, something that causes problems for their males looking for mates! There's something like 120 males for every 100 females now. Many of them are choosing to abort female babies because males are so much more important, and carry on the family name, etc. in China. They will regret this, and probably already are since they don't have enough females for all the males now.

My friend feels like there's more boys than girls being born right now too. She feels like there's a reason for that, that God is building an army or something. What do you think about that?

by boldsojah4christ, Aug 23, 2009 04:31PM
Amen! Sis the stage is bring set 4 the 2nd coming of Christ! A lot of people are in denial about it even believers! Because of fears & worries! But if we belong 2 Christ we have nothing 2 fear! Just keep watching the news about certain coutntries going 4 one gender! Especially make domination! I'm telling you it's setting the stage 4 the anti-Christ who has no desire 4 woman!!!

by fungirl1011, Aug 23, 2009 05:04PM
WOW, this is all so interresting.  It is so nice to see other believers speak out on the end times.  The signs are so clear that things are getting bad and will not be getting any better.  The BIBLE says that Jesus will come like a theif in the night.  He is giving us warning signs to get our lives in order.  We better sit up and pay attention!  We have to keep our focus on God/Jesus at all times, because once our focus shifts to something else (even for a seconc), it opens the doors for Satan to come in and fool us.  I don't know about you, but I have NO desire to be fooled by Satan and end up in the Lake of Fire.  Sorry if this doesn't make sense.  Sometimes I have a hard time writing down what I want to say.  Have a good day everyone.  God Bless

by Myown, Aug 23, 2009 05:08PM
Hey bold!
Good subject-important one, especially for those who think ALL roads lead to God, because they are wrong...Yes Jesus is coming back and it may be in our life-time with the signs we are seeing,,,,,and then ALL will see that..............................

Not All Roads Lead To Heaven

The Bible says there is only one way to Heaven. Jesus said: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me." [John 14:6]

So with that said, THERE SHOULD BE NO SUCH THING AS A COVERT CHRISTIAN!  The bible says we are to lose our life for Christ,,,,and so far in this country we can still witness, preach, sing a song to change someone's heart towards God and in our witnessing, we sometimes lose our family because they reject us and sometimes we lose friends because they reject us,,,,so in this day and age THAT IS HOW you can consider that we do lose our life as we know it - rejection,,,but thats Okay, nothing should stop someone from sharing the Gospel. We here are fortunate,,, in some countries people are hung upside down until they die and all for telling someone about Jesus!

But I see too often today people who say they are Christians, but they don't want to "force" their religion on others and mostly because they want to keep their friends???? I have never understood that type of thinking. If the person truly believes Jesus is the way and without Him the person will spend eternity separated from God, how can they be more concerned about someone getting mad at them, then saving them from Eternal Damnation?

Keep on witnessing Boldsojah, time is getting short!!!!!

by boldsojah4christ, Aug 23, 2009 05:29PM
Amen fun girl! The bible says even the most elite will be decieved in the last days! So I ask & pray 2 God every day 2 give me the strength & speak the truth! 4 get about stepping on egg shells! Souls are @ stake here & every chance I get I'm going 2 spread the truth! Love or hate me! but I'm accountable since I know the truth now!

And thank you myown as well! Ur right if preaching the gospel n these last days will cause us 2 loose friends then maybe it's time 2 go the seperate ways! & if it's meant 4 the friends 2b back together then God will divine it 2 happen! The bible says shake the dust off ur sandals & keep it moving!

by teko, Aug 23, 2009 06:41PM
April, I thought/think Gods army he is building is us. I always understood it to be that we have a free will to choose who we follow. God has laid it out for us and we can choose to believe or disbelieve. The believers are in Gods army and the nonbelievers in Satans army. Then in the big battle, we all go at it and wha-la! We read the book so we already know who the winners are!

Wouldnt it be wonderful to be alive on the earth when Jesus comes!   Wow!!

by peggy64, Aug 23, 2009 06:52PM
I hope he comes back now. The earth and things here are just going to get more difficult. You think we've got it bad now....its good compared to whats coming.

by boldsojah4christ, Aug 23, 2009 07:08PM
Yes, the world has known all of these things:  famine, hunger disease, death, wars, wicked rulers and terrible persecutions. As we look ahead to the future, what should we expect? Will the days ahead be brighter?  We might think, "Surely things cannot get worse.  Things should start getting better. Brighter days must be ahead. This world has been through so much trouble already. How could things possibly get worse?"

This world has gone through times of great trouble, but the Bible clearly teaches that the time of greatest trouble is still in the future. The worst is yet to come! Things will not get better (at least not yet). Things will get much, much worse. The world is headed for a time of trouble greater than anything mankind has ever experienced. Planet Earth has gone through some whirlwinds of trouble, but a greatTorNADO is on its way!

The economy is going 2 get worse! More & more people will start 2 loose jobs! & many people will loose their faith n christ because they can't handle the seals mentioned in the book of revelations! I have a photo of it in my pic profile!

But this is a great time 2 wittness 2 non-believers about Christ! Because in doing so will be so busy about our fathers business that we will be raptured up!! Wow I'm excited!!!

by April2, Aug 23, 2009 07:51PM
The only thing that worries me is I would want to make sure all my loved ones are right with God first and they're not all there.

by boldsojah4christ, Aug 23, 2009 08:20PM
Amen Sis we will keep praying that all will come 2 accept Christ b4 the 2nd coming! The bible clearly tells us that God wishes that no man should perish but have eternal life through his son Jesus! But sis we must Also come 2 understand that all will not come 2 accept Christ!! God already knew b4 the foundations of the earth who would reject & accept him! Look @ me & you!!!

by stacys_aunt, Aug 23, 2009 10:34PM
THE MESSAGE AT OUR CHURCH TODAY WAS "IS IT WELL WITH YOUR SOUL?" IT IS NO COINCIDENCE THAT YOU DECIDED TO WRITE ABOUT THIS TODAY, Bs4c. I BELIEVE AS YOU DO THAT WE ARE IN OUR LAST DAYS, AND WE NEED TO EXAMINE OUR OWN RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD...AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME, ESPECIALLY THOSE WE KNOW ARE NOT SAVED.

by boldsojah4christ, Aug 23, 2009 11:23PM
Amen once we are saved it's our duty 2 go share our testimony with others! The bible tells us b4 his 2nd coming that we should preach the gospels 2 the ends of the earth!

The invitation stands! Maybe you have backslidin from Christ or not accepted Christ @ all! This is ur day accept him n2 ur hearts 2 day! 4 tommorrow isn't promised!!! Bs4c:

by boldsojah4christ, Aug 23, 2009 11:42PM
Bible prophecy indicates that it will happen like a "thief in the night" (Matthew 24:43, 1 Thessalonians 5:2).  The rapture is not the same as the second coming.  Prophetically speaking, the rapture could happen at any moment.  It has been said by Bible scholars that there is nothing else that needs to happen prophetically before the rapture takes place.  That is why it is important to live every day for Christ, for no one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father (Mark 13:32).

by boldsojah4christ, Aug 24, 2009 10:00AM
The Bible says that an unholy trinity will arise in the latter days. This unholy trinity will be Satan, the Antichrist and the False Prophet. Satan is called the Dragon in Revelations. He has always wanted to be like God, if not God, and this will be his one and only chance to actually "play God" in the last 7 years on earth. Satan will take the role of God the Father, the Antichrist will take the role of Jesus and the False Prophet will take the role of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit's job is to lead people to Jesus. In the same way, the False Prophet will be the one to lead the world to serve the Antichrist. He will be instrumental in arranging for people to have the mark of the beast put on either their right hands or their foreheads.

The 10 nation confederacy will be 10 nations that the Antichrist and False Prophet will rule from. The consensus is that the 10 nation confederacy will be 10 nations from Europe. Right now, there are 25 countries in what is called the European Union. By the time the Antichrist gets ready to take center stage, there can only be 10 countries left to fulfill Scripture.

I'm going to list the main verses from Scripture having to do with the Antichrist, the False Prophet and the 10 nation confederacy that they will rule from. Read these verses very carefully! You are getting an incredible look into the future from the Word of God as to what will becoming our way!

1. The Antichrist is called the Beast, the Lawless One, the Man of Sin and the Son of Perdition in the following verses. The first verse is right out of Revelations.

by boldsojah4christ, Aug 24, 2009 11:42AM
True history is a wonderful thing to know. This is Satan's world. Jesus said He had given Satan authority to rule (Luke 4:4-5). Satan is the deceiver of the WHOLE WORLD (Revelation 12:9). Satan inspires people to write history according to his dictates, since he has the power today. His day will come to an end at the Seventh Trump of Revelation 11:15, 18. Until that time arrives, you and I have been taught lies concerning true history. God is now in the process of Restoring Knowledge of Him, His ways, and true history.

A judge has cleared a Florida school district clerk of violating a federal court order against prayer in school or at school-related events.

Michelle Winkler was asked by the Santa Rosa County School district to present "a thought of the day" at the annual Employee of the Year banquet in February. She in turn asked her husband, who doesn't work for the district, to pray during the event.

But that prayer allegedly violated an agreement between the American Civil Liberties Union and the district that banned employees from praying at school functions.

U.S. District Court Judge Casey Rodgers ruled Friday that Winkler would not be held in contempt by the court -- she was not among the parties named in the original lawsuit.

Judge Rodgers also ruled that Winkler did not know the event was covered by the settlement in the federal lawsuit.

Winkler's representation, Liberty Counsel, contended that the banquet was not a school-sponsored event. It was a privately funded banquet that took place off campus after school hours to honor noninstructional employees of the school district, the nonprofit legal group said.

"While we are pleased with the ruling, we are saddened that a wonderful woman had to spend a day in court, with the ACLU's crosshairs aimed at her back," said Mathew D. Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel, in a statement Monday.

"Prayer is neither contemptuous nor criminal," he added. "It is outrageous that the ACLU sought civil contempt charges against an outstanding woman whose husband prayed a beautiful prayer at a privately sponsored event held off campus. The ACLU needs to take a good dose of the First Amendment and call us in the morning."

Global warming!!!

We hear a lot these days about such things as global warming, nuclear winter, and polluted air and water. What is our role in all of this? Can the environment be protected and used at the same time? What are the guidelines for wise management? How will it all turn out?

The Book gives us God's perspective regarding creation and our roll in it.

From The Book
The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.
Psalm 24:1, page 578

God blessed them and told them, "Multiply and fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters over the fish and birds and all the animals."
Genesis 1:28, page 4

To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate the fruit I told you not to eat, I have placed a curse on the ground. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it. It will grow thorns and thistles for you, though you will eat of its grains. All your life you will sweat to produce food."
Genesis 3:17-19, page 6

Against its will, everything on earth was subjected to God's curse. All creation anticipates the day when it will join God's children in glorious freedom from death and decay.
Romans 8:20-21, page 1125

And God has also commanded that the heavens and the earth will be consumed by fire on the Day of Judgment.

You should look forward to that day and hurry it along -- the day when God will set the heavens on fire and the elements will melt away in the flames.
2 Peter 3:7, 12, page 1235

God's Promise
We are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world where everyone is right with God.
2 Peter 3:13, page 1235

Action Point
The Book proclaims that a renewed earth will emerge from the fires of God's judgment. In the meantime we are given the responsibility to carefully manage the resources at hand. Be good to the earth, not because it's our mother, but because it's the home we are to care for. Act wisely, but remember, God is in control of his creation.

you had a dollar for every wrong prediction about the end of the world and laid them end to end - well, let's just say you'd have a lot of dollars. A yearning to know the future spawns psychic hotlines and futurist seminars in the hope that we can control our destiny.

Yet it takes but one natural disaster to remind us we are often at the mercy of unforeseen events. One accident can change forever the course we have set for ourselves. The future arrives daily, ready or not.

From The Book
You may wonder, "How will we know whether the prophecy is from the Lord or not?" If the prophet predicts something in the Lord's name and it does not happen, the Lord did not give the message. That prophet has spoken on his own and need not be feared.
Deuteronomy 18:21-22, page 210

Do not forget the things I have done throughout history. For I am God- I alone! I am God, and there is no one else like me. Only I can tell you what is going to happen even before it happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.
Isaiah 46:9-10, page 720

But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and everything in them will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be exposed to judgment.
2 Peter 3:10, page 1235

God's Promise
The King will say to those on the right, "Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."
Matthew 25:34, page 964

Action Point
If you want to know the future, check with the Author. He's written the road map in the pages of The Book. One thing we know for certain about the future -- well spend it somewhere.

by boldsojah4christ, Aug 31, 2009 08:49AM
Everyone is interested in the future. Books, both good and bad, have been written about what people think is going to happen. Scientists and government leaders are asked for their ideas about what lies ahead for their nation.

People have always been anxious about the future, consulting tea leaves, horoscopes, crystal balls and other forms of "fortune-telling". One day a lady came running to me, asking if she could read my palm and tell me my future. She was quite surprised when I told her that I had a little book that told me my future--and it told her future too! Then I gave her a copy of the New Testament.

Revelation
The Bible is the one source of true predictions. Through His Word God gives us all that we need to know. There is no need to "read" tea leaves or tarot cards. In fact, these and other forms of "magic" are forbidden by God.

If you have wondered about your future and about what will happen when Jesus comes again, you will be interested in studying this lesson. We will study about future judgments and the time of the Lord's coming. Even the angels we studied about in the last lesson are interested in knowing when the Lord will return to earth. Tomorrow we'll look into the Bible and see what it says about our future! The book of Revelation ...

Memory Verses
