It was a Friday night, I was riding with a friend the next thing I knew I woke up in icu six weeks later. I had a pelvic fracture, ruptured bladder, broken feet and hand.My mom was there when I woke up out of my coma. I was onlife support .I was told my friend was killed instantly. My family was told I would not live threw the night from blood loss the night I was taken to trauma for lifesaving surgerys. I have alot of complications from my m/c accident. I am lucky to be alive.I was discharged with a fractured pelvis, ruptured bladder and an infected rod in my back after 8 months.I was very ill.
I did internet research for top bladder surgeon. I went accross country and spent seven months getting fixed. .I had a right drop foot.I had a colostomy..I could not even use a slide board to transfer to a wheelchair due to the pain and unstable pelvis and prolapse problrms and complications. I thank God I had the best urology team as they fixed me.I was then seen by ortho and was diagnosed with osteomylitis and the infection that had gone into my pelvic bones. I was givin a pick line with antibiotics. I had removal of the infected rod in my back. I was later told by ortho they could fix my pelvis. I was living in the hospital on the skilled nursing unit for treatment, wound care and multiple  surgerys. Before my discharge my colostomy was taken down at the hospital I traveled to.
I  was having bad constipation that was contributed to my pain medication again when I returned back home to care of my local doctors.I later found out it was my pelvic floor prolapse causing the constipation(colon and intestines) I was in and out of local E.R.  I ended up with a hernia in pelvic area. I went out back to the west coast and they fixed my hernia and I had abdominalplasty to get rid of tube feeding scar and colostomy scar.
I returned home agin to my Florida Doctors.I continued with constipation. I found out to never give up. I keep hope and faith that god would put the right doctors in my path and he did. I had  found out my constipation was not from my narcotics that I had other problems undiagnosed. I had rectal prolapse, bladder prolapse and intussuceptions.(again) I  had another pelvic floor prolapse and needed another reconstruction.I cound not get local help or diagnoses. I continued to be diagnosed with chronic pelvic pain, constpation and abdominal pain of unknown cause.I had developed another hernia that ruined my pelvic floor reconstruction and finally found local help with my collorectal issues . I had a colon resection(rectocele repair), hernia repair and a starr procedure My colorectal Doctor was great and he was in my state.I had a hard time finding help, care or treatment or diagnoses at mt local hospital.I never did get local care. I continued misdiagnosed as I had a full pelvic floor prolapse.. I had severe constipation. I was distended and my stomache was hard.I had collorectal testing and was not informed of my prolapse and problems after extensive testing,I was told I needed biofeedback( I was not told thr truth) Tests and no results. Circles for help. I went to another Colorectal Doctor and was diagnosed and fixed.I had intussuseptions/ That is a rare folding of the intestines. like a telescope. This new  starr procedure uses a stapler to fix the loose skin I am very grateful to have that surgery.
.The hernia had broken the sling and prolapsed my surgery.I was finally diagnosed on the west coast.
My right leg has been going numb and my foot. I have metal hardware in my pelvic and scarum area.I had alot of ct-scans and my local hospital would not diagnose my conditions because of my hardware.Thay hid my diagnoses.I was frustrated and scared as I continued getting worse.I lost count of surgeries.I have been spending most of my time going to doctors, hospitals, emergency rooms  trying to get diagnosed and treated.I had alot of rescue calls. We have great paramedics I can't say much for my local hospitals.
I am scheduled for surgery again for my last pelvic floor repair and possible reconstruction(urology issues) I have alot of my pelvic pain..I am disabled but maybee one day I will get better...I just keept looking and going to doctors untill I recieve the help, diagnoses, care and treatment I need... I had to Advocate your my health care.I am glad I do not need a referral for specialist.( all I see is specialist) I did a search for top urologist and they saved my life.I do have to travel alot for my care...They say get a second opiniun....I think it takes alot more in my case..I have chronic pain and it is hard to travel, But it saved my life. God bless you and keep you safe." Remember to please wear a helmet." if you ride motorcycles.
I had another surgery friday and I hope it will be my last(pelvic floor reconstruction). It has been almost 4 years since my accident. I am a fighter. I Thank GOD I am alive. My story has a happy ending. I am alive, I have hope and faith. I never gave up. It has been 2 steps forward and 3 steps back.  I am asked if I would ever get on a motorcycle again. I always say no. I had pelvic burning and went to the drugstore. They sell a product that tests for uti's. I had a high white count. I was prescribed antibiotics and my surgery was successful.

If I wake up and see daylight it's a good day!
