I just read a very touching story about the China Earthquake. While going through the debris they found the body of a young lady curling her body with her head lowered. She showed no signs of life but there was a 3 - 4 month old baby girl in her arms still breast feeding. The doctor who found her said that the picture of the baby's red lively little face against the dead mother's grey dust covered breast moved him to tears. He believes that the mother but her nipple in the baby's mouth before she died. When he took the baby away from the mother, she started crying.

The mother's love and foresight saved her daughter. May she rest in peace.

That is so amazing, yet so sad at the same time. I have been struck by two stories in recent years, one local story a few years ago when the young man who worked for CNet struck out to find help while his wife and two children stayed in the car. The husband passed away, but the wife kept both her infant and 4 year old alive by nursing them.

And recently, in China an officer, who has a 6 month of her own, had taken on nursing many infants who were orphans or who's parents were missing. It literally brought tears to my eyes thinking of such a selfless act to help these babies suffering.

People amaze me everyday.
