heart palpitations today

Went to the doctor and got some blood drawn from my left arm to check for thyroid. Went home and got on the internet, felt and definite increase in heart beats, around 5pm. Elevated bp at 140/88 pulse 84. Lost breath. Wondering if it has something to do with taking blood from that arm.
