My little boys first day of daycare!

Well I took my son to his first day of daycare today! The time sure does fly by ya! Oh I feel so guilty right now because I'm at home with Brianna and he's in daycare by himself! well obviously not all by himself lol but still. i know it'll be good for him because he doesn't get too many chances to be with other kids his age and hopefully it will help calm him down at home(doubtful lol) and help him get ready for "real" school lol

On one hand It's really nice to get a break and be able to give my full attention to bri, but on the other i miss my baby boy and it seems like he's just growing up too fast for me! I mean he'll be 3 in December and it seems like i just had him a little while ago. Man when my mom told me to cherish the moments because they go by fast I didn't think they'd start going by this fast!! Hopefully he'll be able to handle it because he's never really away from me. I guess it's all a good thing he can learn more independence and everything but I just feel like I've lost my baby boy and now I have a big boy I'm sad and happy at the same time lol

Just needed to get my thoughts out on the matter. The hubby thinks i'm crazy for feeling so guilty and sad about him just going to daycare haha Oh well I guess it's a happy sadness if that makes sense lol

Your guilt will last no more than a day or two guaranteed & by that time you'll wish the hours were longer LOL!!!    My kids are now 18, 16, 11 & 10 and I know just where you're at!

No you are not crazy we have all felt it, it gets easier as the days go by, is it half a day or some days ?,I always think that some daycare is good but children do better when they spend their formative years mostly with parents, ,school comes quick enough.Good Luck

Well at least it isn't just me lol! He's just in there part time for now, i'm looking into getting at least a part time job soon(mostly to get out of the house and get a break from the kids occasionally lol) so we decided to put him in a little early to see how he handles it. I haven't had any calls form the daycare yet so hopefully he's adjusting. It's just so strange with him not in the house, bri's napping and it's just so weird because there's silence pure wonderful silence haha i guess i have to get a little used to that! BUT I got so much cleaning done already today and I'm way ahead of schedule so yay me! lol i'll be able to actually sit back, relax and read a book for a bit!
