last november there was a loud ringing in my ear that was bothering me, so I went to the school nurse at the UW Oshkosh Health Clinic. the nurse looked at my ear and said it was an ear infection. so I was prescribed ear infection medication but it did not work on my ear. so my mom took me to the hospital to have my ears tested in December during finals week. at the hospital we talked to the doctor and told him that the doctors at birth saw a small bony growth in my left ear and didn't know what to think of it. the doctor who examined did not see a small bony growth in my left ear and assumed it wasn't part of the problem. he also told me i have tinnitus and my hearing range on my left ear is lower than what it was when I was born. it was enough for him to tell me i could live with this for the rest of my life and i have become tolerant to it, which is something i have an extremely hard time doing. he offered i should get an hearing aid to help me but i can't because my parents insurance won't cover the whole thing and my parents money and my money are used for college. not only that, he suggested i should take allergy tests to find what i'm allergic to because i don't know what i'm allergic to, and the result come back saying there is a lot of things in the environment and cats i'm allergic to. as a result of the test my doctor said i should use my nasonex spray, which helps clear my ear a bit but it won't help get rid of the tinnitus. is there any other way that i could use to get my tinnitus to go away because the methods i tried are not working like exercising, lowering the voices on my cd player, tv, computer sounds to mask the sound of my ear because those method are not working for me and still continues. my ear is ringing and buzzy at night louder than it is during the day and it leads to my right ear to ring. not only that sometimes i get a sharp pain from my left ear that comes out of blue and goes away quickly. i'm so stressed with it that i would like to find a remote control to shut up but i can't. do you have any suggestions. i could also mention when i'm this letter my left ear is ringing loud and i have a headache. whenever i have both a headache and the ear is ringing loudly i take zolpidem 10 MG (i also take it to help me fall asleep at night to help me fall asleep, and as a result i fall asleep with no problem, but when i wake up it starts ringing again. can someone please tell me if i have to live the rest of my life with an annoying ring ear or if there's an effective medicine or practice i can use to help get ride of the tinnitus so i can concentrate fully on my homework without distractions and stress.
