There are other methods to deal with the pain. I am a victim of back fusion. was paralyzed at one point. My pain doctor perscribed lyrica for me after i told him i want off the norco and oxy. it is a non narcotic non opoid receptor drug. It does make you a little loopy and can be mentally addicting because of the Buzz. But it wont destroy your life like opiate drugs. if you can get some for when you wd it could help with the pain. Ask your doctor about it and see if it is an option. I dont no what your back deal is but there is also an implant on the market now with electrodes that go into your back and sends a small electrical current thru your spine into your brain which tells your brain there is no pain. You could be a canidate for that also. There really are more options out there. Pain management doctors are all up to date on things.
