My nephew funeral is today

OMG ...........MY nephews funeral is today ...Its all one day ..I just want all of us to get through it .... My son is doing so well with staying clean ..I am so afraid ..... I hope this will be an eye opener for him .......& all these addicts............The light just never came on for my nephew..Hes been a addict for many years ..... He OD many time but thank  God they saved him ...This time he wasn't so lucky ...What makes that light go on ?               God Bless everyone ......Trish

im so sorry for your loos, stay strong your family needs you. he is with god now and is at peace. i too pray that your son will open his eyes

I ask myself that a thousand times/ Why Me  What have I done that is so great ...that I stayed clean when those around me continue to relaspe or in your nephew's case die in active addiction.  I have no answers for you. My only insight is I wanted to stay clean MORE than I wanted to use
Please know that those of us who suffer with the disease of addiction are with you in spirit
If need be   go to the addiction social   and find the   group hug   and place yourself in the middle of all that wonderful support

my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I pray your son stays clean. I am also a mother of a son addicted to soma's and alcohol.
