metabolism

I started jogging this summer. Early in the mornings before breakfast and my mother woke up. Around 5 in the morning. Quite early, but I don't like exercising with people watching and no one's really up at this hour (except serial killers and maybe farmers). I used to go running in the evenings, but I live near the centre of the city and sometimes the cretins who drink and shout out insults to strangers gather near the field where I run. It's not pleasant. Really not pleasant. I've only encountered them once ("Who the **** are you? Crazy!") and that was more than enough. I didn't help that it was getting darker and I couldn't actually see any of them.

Yeah. So early in the morning's really the only thing I can think of. There's also the added bonus of a ramped up metabolism (it drops like a stone when you sleep) for the day and exercising seems to make me more alert...

But I've been very inconsistent. I skipped jogging completely this week, and only did it about once or twice the week before. I think I spent many weeks skipping it. And that's not really good, seeing as I'm trying to lose the pounds I gained when I moved over here (almost halfway there!).

I must start running again. And going to bed early, because I'm not getting enough sleep.

Gotta raise that metabolism!
