Hi -- found the info on the this info on the Tylenol website as it applies to children's products & is a voluntary recall, so it's not posted on my FDA Recalls Group - ( http://www.medhelp.org/forums/FDA-Recalls-US-Food-and-Drug-Administration/show/395)

I don't see any mention of WHY these products are being recalled, on your Forum Site-'Recalls.' I guess if I wasn't so lazy I would look it up on the Internet. This is a very informative site, Cheryl. Thank you so much for starting it. Great idea.

Here is what I found on the Tylenol website http://www.tylenol.com/page.jhtml?id=tylenol/news/subpchildinfantnews.inc
"All products manufactured met internal specifications. However, the company is implementing this recall because during this period, an unused portion of one inactive ingredient did not meet all quality standards. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, it was decided to recall all Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products listed below, which were made during this time. "

It isn't listed as of this morning on the FDA website - even when doing a recall "search" .. so that's why it's not on the FDA Group yet as that's only for items appearing on the FDA website. If anybody can find it on their site, that would be great .. let me know or stop by and please post it.

That brings up a good idea --- if anybody wants to start a group about recalls that aren't necessarily on the FDA site, that would be awesome .. like product recall list of some sort that doesn't hit the FDA site. Also, looking for another moderator . .the more we have, the better to be on top of posting listings that the FDA puts out ....
There's a new FDA Food website .. I'm not sure if those follow thru on the regular FDA site. http://www.foodsafety.gov
