I read the paper that I was given that said I was positive to HSV2. It stated that I have an antibody count of 3.90, but this does not state that I have the Virus, it just states that I have been exposed to the virus,but to recheck in 4 to 6 weeks.  And was given Valtrex to take.Now I have used protection since this but the condom broke what is the chance of my partner catching this? If I have never had symptoms or even a break out and neither has he. What should I do?

Blood tests for herpes can not find the virus itself.  The test looks for antibodies which your body makes to fight off the virus that you were exposed to at some point.  If you've never noticed an outbreak you may be asymptomatic.  Unfortunately, its still possible for him to catch it.  The best course of action is for him to get tested.  Hope this was helpful.
