Im 25 and in June i notice a lump in the right side of of my neck it was the size of a golf ball, had grew over night. I made a appoinment to see my GP who referred me to a ENT specalist. Had to wait till Aug to see the consultant, the consultant did a FNA biopsy and ultrasound.

My FNA results came back THY 2, and my ultrasound showed that i had 3 complex cysts on the right side of my thyroid, the cysts seem to contain multiple septations and the septations have dotted microclacifications. The largest cyst measured at 0.9 x 1.0 x 1.3 cm.

When i saw my consultant for my results, he said that i had 2 very small tumours and that he had to perform a thyroid lobectomy, i am schedule to have the operation on the 9th of october, i am quite scared, and worried that when they operate they will find cancer and i will have to go trough furthur test and treatment.

Ever since May this year, i have been going 2 see my Gp because i have been feeling extremly tired, feelin sick on certain days and getting alot of headaches, he did some bloodwork, my thyroid is functiong fine, my TSH resluts were fine, but i dont understand why i am feeling this way?

I have my pre op next week, hoping everything goes well and the questions i need to ask my consultant are answerd properly. Having read alot on this site, it has raised alot of questions about my consultant and weather this is the right procedure for me.
