Oh My God its so over. I am so glad and happy and i cant even describe it. ok so here is my day of surgery story....
Well we got to OSU at 530 on the nose, my husband and my mother and I. We used the valet parking i recommend it. Then i got registered and they took us up to the James Cancer Center. I started bawling because i couldnt run...lol then they told me that only one person could come back so my hubby went with me. Then i got prep and stuff. I asked for the happy juice and guess what guys it didnt work for me.....my heart was pounding and i was crying nothing was going right. I was a basket case. So the anesthciaoligist talked to me we were almost ready to go to surgery room, so i was being wheeled into surgery and my heart wouldnt stop racing they were talking about my heart to the doctor and he told them to go ahead and give me stuff to sleep. So there were only 5 people in the room along with the doctor. There was and intern on my left and a surgical resident on my right. They were talking about my kids and thats all she wrote i was out for the count.....then i woke up to some lady talking to me i still dont remember what she was saying...But i had this picture of the kids with me when i went to sleep and they must have put it back on my chest. Then i was groggy, for the whole day. it wasnt that bad just really couldnt get to sleep the nurses bugged the heck out of me god love em...lol but i have been up and walking and no cather, peeing on my own passing gas and i will be home by tomrrow evening woo hoo...im so excited. But let me tell you about the pevic mass that was on my ovary. it had attached itself to part of my bowels. So they had to cut it off and sew it together. they said the cyst was the size if a football. Thats why i looked sooooo pregnant. and was in so much pain. was fluid filled but they sent it path just to make sure nothing is going on. They also took my lymph nodes out down there. they called it staging whatever that means. I will see my surgeon before i leave so he can explain it to me. He had to go out of town after my surgery. but all in all i feel pretty sleepy still but i feel so blessed. I have my laptop here with me so i can communicate with my family and friends. so feel free to send me msgs or if you have any questions for me....But thanks so much for all your support you guys rock! You all told me what to expect and it was just as you said from fast paced to not remembering a thing untill waking up.....love you guys
