law of reversibiity.

Nov 01, 2009 - 82 comments

Mind be unconditioned. world puja web site has given 5 tips to do the same. i would add that effect ot trauma can be nullified if we learn to witness the traumatic event in the reverse form.I.e in you are insulted by somebody, visualize that you were apriciated.. Of cource this will be faking. Fake it till you make it. that should be the sloggan. In this way one can reduce the effect of trauatic events and be from the past garbage. Similarly all the failures should be turned into successful. Here also faking is used to vonvert the failures into cuccess. Some plausible story has to be formulated and convert the result into success.
Some work has to be done to apply thid concept to our life.

This entry is ignored. There are no comments from any community members. Presentation can be poor or the subject is misunderstood and spelling and typing mistakes reading dull. well, I am labeled as atrocious writer. These observations may depress anyone. However, if the suggestion given on the above writing is put into practice, I can nullify the negative effect on my mood and attitude. These are random thoughts, not serious enough.

I get ignored sometimes ..sometimes it doesnt get seen out there, it goes up on the side bar and thats it, its you that should have made sure others saw it and told friends etc you have a journal up and wanted their thoughts..mine are it would be a hard task to visualise what happened in a happy way if I am understanding you correctly ..I had trauma when a dental procedure 3 years ago went wrong and the dentist lost his rag ...I dont think I could visualise this dreadful man doing the procedure in a nice way ....I think that if one could do it that it may work for others, I got over my trauma ..I had PTSD for a while then I was okay .. well done for bringing it back now you have a response ...

Margypops, you always come when somebody needs help and some solace. Yes it is difficult to untie the knots we have formed in the past. These knots take away our energy in two ways. Some energy is required to keep the knots in the body. and other energy is lost from the body the negative energy has taken up the available space in the body/mind.
Once we were asked to forgive people who you have thought harmed you. This was a mental exercise for 15 minutes. when we went deep in forgiving, we felt so light and happy that, we did this type of    medition quite regularly.
I have read number of your posting  solacing if they are heart. It is clear that it comes from you kindheartedness. Thanks.(I type and check with my magnifying glass as I am suffering from Age-reated-macuar disorder.)

I definately believe that visualisation works as I have used it and still do...I have read some of the exercises you have also put up here for a long time Dalubaba you have a lot of wisdom to impart,  before I looked I knew you are from India..I love your culture brought up with in in England ...hey do you make a good curry?

139792 tn?1498589250
by Dalubaba, Aug 15, 2011
Yes, I do enjoy curry, cooked by others. I can prepare tea only. That too, I don't guarantee that other would like it.
I have proved my unlimited ability to spell wrongly in my previous posting by typing heart in stead of hurt. I keep on writing in MH, as I find that people are tolerant and supporting.
While reading on affirmations, I came across a coined word afformation. The author says if you cannot visualize very strongly, you ask a question on your goal. If you are visualizing for good health ask a question why I am having such a wonderful health. The author argues that your subconscious mind is convinced that you have really a good health and you are seeking the whys of it. So it tries to find out the ways and means to achieve health. It was a good article. I will be happy to continue to communicate with you.
I encounter lot of coincidences these days. You have talked of curries. My daughter in law has gone to her native town for four days. She has prepared lot of curries and stored it in freezer for my use. My son is also away for his work.So enjoying curry -alone.

My spelling is good but I am not lucky with keyboards, the keys are too small and my fingers hit the keys next to it..lol so I am correcting typo's all the time .Having lived a good portion of my life in England I also drink tea , when I first came to the US I began drinking more coffee but I now find I drink various teas, I like Earl grey with lemon slices. Its very interesting that you say if you cannot visualise very strongly as recently when I am tired ,it has been hugely hot here and it wearies me , so when I lay in bed trying to picture my beach and boat it is harder to concentrate, for me its to go to sleep .The article sounds good can you write it in a pm to me ?   I love curry more than any other food , actually my mom didnt like them it was always the father who made them ..I too freeze them I make a batch ..

Afformations: The Key That Unlocks “The Secret” (Part 1 of 2)

Afformations: The Key That Unlocks “The Secret” (Part 1 of 2)

This is a guest article by Noah St. John, Author of SecretCodeBook.com.

We all know that an “affirmation” is a statement of something you want to be true in your life. So an example of a traditional “affirmation” might be: “I am rich.”All right, let’s try it. Say to yourself right now, “I am rich.” Did you hear what just happened in your mind? A voice… a voice that said: “Yeah, right!”

The plain truth is that most of us don’t believe our own “affirmations”. Why? Because we’re trying to convince ourselves of something we don’t believe is true.

Now, traditional success teachers realized that you may not believe your “affirmations”. So they told us to repeat our “affirmations” a thousand…er, million…uh, kajillion times until you eventually, um, believe them.

Have you ever said positive “affirmations” (for example, “I am rich, I’m happy, I have enough”)… and then had… Absolutely nothing happen?

Me too. And about a gazillion other people. I was in the shower one morning, thinking about how the human mind is always in the process of asking and seeking the answers to questions.

For example, if I asked you, “Why is the sky blue?” – instantly, your brain would start searching for the answer. So I asked myself, “If the human mind is always asking and searching for the answers to questions, why are we going around making statements we don’t believe? Why don’t we cut out the middleman?”

Then I asked, “What would that look like?” I realized that if we make a statement (“affirmation”) that says, “I am rich” and our brain replies, “Yeah, right!” the question might look something like this: why am I so rich?

Come again?

Why am I so rich?

Try it. Right now, ask yourself, “Why am I so rich?” What’s your brain doing right now? Searching for the answer!

Remember Universal Law – “As you sow, so shall you reap”. Most people are unconsciously asking lousy questions, like: “Why am I such a loser? Why can’t I do anything right? How come I’m so lonely?

Why don’t I have enough money?” Guess what they reap? The fruits of what they’ve sown! And that’s how, on that fateful morning, I discovered and named the process of using afformations. Afformations are my discovery of empowering questions (NOT “affirmations”) that cause your mind to focus on what you really want, and stop focusing on what you don’t want.

Here are some examples of Afformations that my students have used with amazing results:

Why am I allowed to be, do and have all that I want in life?

Brandon, an insurance salesman in Salt Lake City who’d spent $30,000 on self-help programs with few results, started using this Afformation in May. In 30 days, his sales tripled – and by the end of the year, his revenues had increased more than 560% and he was named Agent of the Year.

Why do I lose weight so easily?

Monee had tried every diet program out there, but couldn’t lose weight. She began using this Afformation – and lost 20 pounds in 60 days without stress or dieting.

And one of my favorite Afformation stories…

Why am I so enchanting?

7-year-old Adrienne from Alabama came home crying to her mother, Joan, sobbing, “Why does everyone hate me?” Joan, who had read my books, told Adrienne, “Honey, you’re asking the wrong question!” She explained Afformations to her daughter, who started afforming, “Why am I so enchanting?”

Adrienne would repeat her Afformation over and over, out loud. Then one day, she came home from school with a picture one of her classmates had drawn – it was a heart with two little girls holding hands that read, “I’m so glad we’re friends!” When I asked Joan how long it had taken for Adrienne’s transformation to take place, she told me – less than one week!

Afformations are an incredibly powerful method I’ve taught people since 1997 to change your questions and change your life. In Part Two of this series, I’ll show you the simple 4-step Afformations Method to manifest anything you really want twice as fast with half the effort. So check back tomorrow for that one.

Margypops: some home remedy forwarded by a friend of mine.
        Home Remedies

        CURE FOR ACIDITY :

Acidity, it is said, is worse than Cancer. It is one of the most common dis-ease people encounter in their daily life. The home remedy for Acidity is Raw Grains of Rice.

        The Process:

        1.     Take 8 - 10 grains of raw uncooked rice

        2.     Swallow it with water before having your breakfast or eating anything in the morning

        3.     Do this for 21 days to see effective results and continuously for 3 months to eliminate acidity from the body

        The Cure:

Reduces acid levels in the body and makes you feel better by the day.

        CURE FOR CHOLESTEROL:

Cholesterol problem accompanies with Hypertension and Heart Problems. This is also one of the common problems in people who have High Blood Pressure and Diabetes. The home remedy for Cholesterol problem is RAW SUPARI.

        The Process:

        1.     Take Raw Supari (Betel Nut that is not flavoured) and slice them or make pieces of the same

        2.     Chew it for about 20 - 40 minutes after every meal

        3.     Spit it out

        The Cure:

When you chew the supari, the saliva takes in the juice that is generated and this acts like a Blood Thinner. Once your blood becomes free flowing, it brings down the pressure in the blood flow, thereby reducing Blood Pressure too.

        CURE FOR BLOOD PRESSURE:

One of the simple home remedy cure for Blood Pressure is Methi Seeds or Fenugreek Seeds.

        The Process:

        2.     Swallow it with water before taking your breakfast, every morning

        The Cure:

The seeds of Fenugreek are considered good to reduce the blood pressure.

        CURE FOR DIABETES:

There are 2 home remedies for Diabetes. One is Ladies Finger and the other is Black Tea.

BLACK TEA: Due to high medication, the organ that is worst affected is the Kidney. It has been observed that Black Tea (tea without milk, sugar or lemon) is good for the Kidney. Hence a cup of black tea every morning is highly advisable.

        The Process:

        1. Boil water along with the tea leaves (any tea leaves will do).

        2. Drink the concoction without addingmilk, sugar or lemon.

        The Cure:

Black Tea will help in enhancing the function of the kidney, thereby not affecting it more.

        LADIES FINGER or OKRA:

Ladies finger is considered to be a good home medicine for diabetes.

        The Process:

        1. Slit the ladies finger into 2 halves vertically and soak it in water overnight.

        2. The next morning, remove the ladies fingers and drink the water, before eating your breakfast.

        The Cure:

After the ladies fingers are soaked overnight in the water, you can observe that the water becomes sticky in the morning. This sticky water is considered to be good for people who suffer from Diabetes.
Look how our Indian food habits are good for our health.

Self improvement is an on going process and sometimes even a small thing can create huge changes in life. I am sure we will be happy in exchanging ideas from each other. Chewing betal nuts is national habit with us. Usually in villages everybody chews betanuts. However worse thing is that it is mixed with tobacco. Apart from the advantages of betalnut given in my foreward, chewing itself is an action which calms our mind according to gestalt psychology. Angry man cannot masticate his food well. Gestalt psychology says, you have quota for chewing, biting and sucking. If you have not done your quota of chewing, biting or sucking in childhood, some psychology problems do occur in adult life. I studied this psychology 3 or 4 decades back , as a part of management training.

Just four days back i came across 7 tips on meditation. While studying it I thought each tip can work as a separate session of mediation or you can have  all the points in one session of meditation. So I decided to practice each tip for some time and then do any of them every day at any time any of the tips. In other words we can keep a reserve of of props to use them when we are stressed.I had saved it for my use. I am copying it as under.
Article of the Week:

Seven Ways of Creating a Mind of Ease and Inner Wellbeing

One of my favorite personal growth “formulas” was coined by a guy called Timothy W Gallway (of “The Inner Game of Tennis” fame) who said that performance = potential minus interference. What this formula points out is that as often as not is we ourselves that get in our own way at least as much if not more than anything else in our outer environment.
So, the first stage of getting rid of our “inner interference” is learning to create a mind of ease and relaxation. As you will have read above I will be doing a series of classes on exactly how to do this on the 31st August, but in the mean time here are seven short meditative methods for creating a mind of ease and relaxation. They can be done on their own, either as super-short practices done for as little time as 15 seconds, or they can be done in combination with each other, taking a few moments to focus on each one, and then moving onto the next. Here they are:

1.       Create a time for safe space – For a specific period of time consciously recognize that you are at this moment not in any manifest physical danger. Make a decision also to abstain from inner criticism of yourself, and try to feel the Earth and your immediate environment as friendly rather than hostile. Allow your mind to rest in the safe physical and psychological space of these three recognitions for the time you have set aside.
2.       Extend a feeling of warmth and friendliness to yourself – Chose to be a friend to you. Focusing on your self-sense, gently extend a feeling of warmth and welcome to it. Relax as deeply as you can into this warm feeling of liking who you are, just for now!
3.       Find something positive to focus on – Mentally search through the last 24 hours. Find some positive achievement, experience of good fortune, recognition of a kindness that you have given someone or other such positive event. Having found such a positive thought focus on it, developing a sense of appreciation and enjoyment for what has transpired.
4.       Concentrate on a single object for a short while – Take a single object such as the breathing and focus on it exclusively for a short period of time. You can temporarily forget about the causes of your stress simply by learning to focus. your mind in this way.
5.       Utilize the exhalation – Following on from point 4, we can combine our focused concentration with a deeper release of stress by imagining inner tension leaving our body and mind on the exhalation. There is a natural releasing or letting go mechanism that happens in our body when we breathe out that we can leverage on consciously.
6.       Abstain from inner criticism – Expanding a little upon point 1, we can set aside a short period of time where we decide that no critical thoughts about ourself are allowed in our mind. Discover that it is possible to shut the door on self criticism for a while, and enjoy the inner space and ease that is created! Excluding critical thoughts of others can also be included in this section.
7.       Be aware of the space between your thoughts – Normally we focus on the content of our consciousness, the thoughts and feelings in our mind. In doing so we become completely oblivious ever present “inner space” that is constantly there in our mind. Setting aside time to focus exclusively upon the space between our thoughts helps us to find a source of wellbeing that is there all the time but that we often overlook!

Meditation is a mind that focuses on a positive object, an object that when we focus on it makes us peaceful and happy. All of the seven points above are simple objects of meditation that, through focusing on we can begin to build our own mind of ease.
A final point, you may find that when you try to use any of the above techniques and you find your mind resisting. For example you may  find that it is very difficult to develop a feeling of liking yourself when you try technique 2. If this happens then rather than struggling and trying to force yourself to get to that feeling simply be aware of your resistance to liking who you are, and take that resistance as your object of meditation. Accepting inner resistance that you encounter in meditation is one way of beginning to let go if the inner tension and blockages that are causing the resistance in the first place.

To Margypops;
Long back, I read one book, entitled'Q.R.-queting reflexe-. This six second technique, which can be done any where even when waiting for traffic light to change. Take a deep breath, tighten your whole body, smile, exhale and relax. this you can do even 50 fifty times a day, whenever you get time. If one practices for a long time, one develops a habit of relaxing automatically without conscious effort. The whole book was on this technique  only. This can be an extra weapon for handling stress.

to Margypops,
I am overloading you with many postings. I am tempted to add one more as i feel that it is very important. Search journal entry' Deer exercise for woman, what do you think of it?' This has five comments. One member has used it for menstrual problem. I have also commented on the subject of Taoist yoga. It is noteworthy that technique appears to be indelicate and somewhat vulgar. However, results can be positive and life saving for some.Deer exercise for man and woman are different. Results may be physical, sexual, spiritual, mental. It seems that because of its slight vulgarity and potential loss to pharmaceutical compnies and urologist, this exercise are not popular. I took a risk in recommending some posters to ameliorate their problem.

I am glad that you are going to use Q.R. This you can use even for one part of the body as well. Usually shoulders, jaws are tense. Different people contract different muscles during stress. If you observe , you may be able to identify the group of muscles which usually remain tense. You can focus on that group. It will be good exploration and creative effort.

To  Margypops                                                                                Affirmation website; A good tip is after affirmation you have attitude of gratitude by saying thanks. This dirctly implies that you do believe that affirmation has already happened. This is probably another way similar to afformation. I am pasting the part of the article....
If there was ever a "formula" for manifesting desires, this
is it. Ancient spiritual manuscripts, including the Bible,
emphasize that a single-minded belief is essential in
receiving what you ask for. They also warn against double-
mindedness. Know with absolute and unwavering certainty
that what you are affirming is already yours. "If you can
believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
So believe that it's already done by simply saying "Thank
you" or assuming an attitude of gratitude after affirming
what you want. I once heard a wonderful quotation from an
anonymous author that says it profoundly: "We can start
with who we are and what we have today, apply gratitude,
then let it work it's magic. Say thank you, until you mean
it. If you say it long enough, you will believe it. Today
will shine the transforming light of gratitude on all the
circumstances of my life."

============================================================

2. TIP: An attitude of gratitude is absolutely essential
in your practice of affirmations. There are also devices,
available in Sculptor, like power symbols, associative
trigger symbols, storytelling visuals, and other stimuli
that effectively set an affirmation on fire -- and therefore
makes it infinitely more capable of effecting the
manifestation of your desires. When you experience
Sculptor, you'll begin to realize it's like soaking yourself
in 7 powerful technologies that have been synergistically
combined to produce incredible results. You won't know the
amazing value of Sculptor 3 until you experience it for
yourself at: www.affirmationsforthemind.com/sculptor

3. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "There is no better opportunity to
receive more than to be thankful for what you already have.
Thanksgiving opens the windows of opportunity for ideas to
flow your way."

About thanks giving; In Reikhi , we mentally recite 4 principles;( I) am thankful to almighty that abundance is expressed through me.(2) I am free form anger (3) I am free from worries.(4) I love every living being.
Thanking and expressing gratitude go hand in hand. If we go deeper in all these points, I think, we can feel up no. of journals.

This is really interesting. I'd like to look into this some  more. What you say is so true. A lot of us do so much negative self talk and drag ourselves down without even realizing it. It's self fulfilling  prophecy.
Some  people think it's unChristian to meditate or visualize and that's untrue. My mom visualized in her complete healing for years before she received her healing. She always believed God would heal her, just didn't know how or when. But she would visualize herself walking, etc., completely healed, and learned to not only give thanks in and through all things but would thank God before she received her answers. She  had hope and faith and didn't allow her circumstances to make her bitter.
I really think there is something to this. Jesus Christ certainly knew and taught this. "As a man thinkith so  he is". Many of his teachings went along with this. "Only believe."

I hope you keep this journal up for awhile so i can look more at your postings. I have to run right now but thank you for sharing this.

And I understand feeling ignored! I feel like I've become invisible on here anymore, lol, I guess because I'm not on medhelp much anymore, but that's  ok, those who care about me still keep in touch, even offline, and I still learn things snd try to help when I can, I'm just so busy any more, it's hard to find the time but I try when I can.

And Margy, I do the same thing with the typos! I can spell just fine but my phone keyboard is so tiny I'm constantly making typos!

Thanks again for this journal. I'd like to come
back and look at it some more later when I get
the chance.
Peace!

I would love to read this book. I will get it at the first opportunity. I got interested in meditation and spiritual literature because of Osho. He was a controversial God's man. I have read his all lectures( he did not write any book, all his 400 books are recording of his lectures. He has spoken on all religions with  more in depth in modern outlook. For 8 years, i have read nothing except his books. I have also attended his two 10-day meditation camps. After reading his books, I could never develop much interest in any spiritual books. I will try Ravi(Rabi) Maharaj.

The following is quotation of Taoist yoga given in web page of Chair Tie chi

"The Tao of Heaven:
Does not contend and yet excels in winning
Does not speak and yet excels in responding
Is not summoned and yet comes on its own
Is unhurried and yet excels in planning
The heavenly net is vast
Loose, and yet does not let anything slip through."

To Margypops; I am pleased to share the follwing.
No one can go back and make a brand new start. Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

There isn’t promise of days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but can promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Disappointments are like road bumps, they slow you down a bit but you enjoy the smooth road afterwards. Don’t stay on the bumps too long. Move on! When you feel down because you didn’t get what you want, just sit tight, and be happy.

There’s a purpose to life’s events, to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard. You can’t make someone love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved, and the rest is up to the person to realize your worth. It’s better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride. We spend too much time looking for the right person to love or finding fault with those we already love, when instead we should be perfecting the love we give.

Never abandon an old friend. You will never find one who can take his place. Friendship is like wine, it gets better as it grows older.

To Margypops,
I was searching the techniqu of bouncing to arouse Kindalini shakti (Divine Power).Ultimate aim of yoga is arousal of kundalini. By reading the word bouncing I remember the technique associated with kriya yoga. Now I could recall the exact name of the technique. It is one of 21 techniques for arousing kundlini shakti. It name Tadan Kriya. Tadan means to hit and kriya means technique. You may google "tadan kriya" and you will find video on various techniques including Tadan kriya.

To Donewith. Sorry for the fragmented answer. I completed two and half month treatment with Rice and fanugreek. Rice for the acidity and fanugreek for high blood pressure. This is done as an adjunct therapy with the traditional one.Yoga and specific exercises are also done along with it. I explore many paths. If there are good results, it is ok .I am alert against unwanted side effects. Up till now going is good. I take this quite lightly unless there is a big impediment.

To Margypops
I am pasting interesting mediation.
Gibberish and Let-Go

"Gibberish is to get rid of the active mind, silence to get rid of the inactive mind and let-go is to enter into the transcendental." Osho

First Stage: Gibberish

While sitting, close your eyes and begin to say nonsense sounds – any sounds or words, so long as they make no sense. Just speak any language that you don't know! Allow yourself to express whatever needs to be expressed within you. Throw everything out. The mind thinks, always, in terms of words. Gibberish helps to break up this pattern of continual verbalization. Without suppressing your thoughts, you can throw them out. Let your body likewise be expressive.

Second Stage: Moving In

After some minutes of Gibberish, there is a drumbeat, at which point the Gibberish stops. Osho’s voice then guides the listener into a space of deep silence, stillness and relaxation, saying, for example, “Be silent, close your eyes...no movement of the body – feel frozen. Go inwards, deeper and deeper, just like an arrow. Penetrate all the layers and hit the center of your existence.”

Third Stage: Let-Go

Another drumbeat and, without arranging yourself, just allow yourself to fall down "like a bag of rice," so you are lying, utterly still and relaxed, on your back as you are guided even more deeply into a silent stillness.

Fourth Stage: Coming Back

At the final drumbeat, Osho’s voice guides you back to a sitting position, with the reminder to carry the glimpse of silent awareness one may have had into everyday activities.

I'll give this a try Dalubaba,

I was taking fenugreek for some time. I would steep in water until it was absorbed and take a teaspoon with or without meals. Is that the way you are taking it? My Dr (from Egypt recommended) Must get some rice.
I will stay on the look out for your journal :)

thanks

To donewitis,
I am taking uncooked rice 10 to 15 grains(seeds) and 10 to 15 grains of
fenugreek in the morning before breakfast and even before brushing my teeth along with my blood pressure and thyroid pills.Suggestion on dosage varies from one adviserS to another and for what purpose it is taken. If you are taking it for constipation, you may swallow half or one teaspoonful  dry grains.Soaked grains may be chewed in the morning. Once I did try to chew soaked grains. I could not chew it properly as I have artificial denture.Usually aurvedic doctors or naturopaths recommend these condiments as home treatment. they are usually safe. I will post such info in the journal and if relevant I will send you the message. Many thanks for communicating.

My daughter-in-law brought a pamphlet of Flex Seed. I had read about it in the internet and its use as natural fiber and other nutrients.I found the website address in the pamphlet and studied it as cure for cancer. I forwarded it to my brother who is suffering from Lungs cancer. I have yet to learn its use. I think sprouted flax seed would be more nutritious. we can add that in a salad. My daughter in law want to make some sweets with it. I think you can put fanugreek also in the curry. .we will have to be innovative in cooking flax seed.we will match our notes on this preparation.I have not seen the seeds so far.Give some idea about the flax seed I understand we have to drink a lot of water as the fiber needs more water. Less water may jam the gastro-intestinal system.
My old house (1965) is being reconstructed. Since last one year I am staying in flat which is our backyard. I can see the back of the house from the balconies of my flat.My son Sanjay and my daughter in law Renu are looking after the construction of the house.Thanks.

They are tiny little light brown seeds, very crunchy not a lot of flavor to eat but you can eat them off your hand, I have had them for years since I read about them ...incidently they help ease the pain of gall bladder problems , when the y are cooked slowly in boiling water they turn 'goohy' by that I mean glutenous ,you stir it well and drink it, Flax Tea ..I imagine you can find it in the search engine .I have them on salad ,as I said in Curry or chilli  because they dont have much taste you can infact put them in anything ..I have had them on top of ice cream ....lol Wow you are having your house reconstructed ...i have also been doing that and mine is almost done... taken 18 months

Yesterday I visited few sites on Flax seeds. I have seen the photos. there were golden colored as well.It is good that you are using since long so we can use confidently.AS they have healing properties on gall bladder, they can have some effect on other organs as well.AS it contains fiber, it can help to improve gastro -intestinal tract. I think, I read about its use to reduce constipation. we have yet to get it from the market. I am also asking Renu( my daughter in law) to use asparagus as vegetable or use it salad.Though it is not used much. I had read some good effects. I am forgetting about those  benefits.
I started construing my house in September 2012 and will be ready hopefully in Febriarry2012. My architect promise to complete the house in 8 months. He has taken exactly double-time. I think out budget also will be double. Mentally I was prepared  for this Inflated amount and time.

yes they also take the pain of gall bladder away I hear, they are more a golden color than a brown ..Asparagus is not too expensive here I should eat more of it, Your constructors in India sound the same as here never on time , I had a new roof put on a house bout 8 year ago in Florida, they stopped in between to do other work ..and like you it took twice as long ..,however we got there ..I sold that house came back to CA then heard that a big Hurricane hit Port St Lucie, where I had been living shortly after we left ...never asked if that roof stood up to it ...

I think you escaped hurricane. To day I just glanced at T.V and saw a plane falling and pilot escaping from the falling plain. Probably you escaped from a falling roof!. Like the escape of a pilot from a falling plane- which I saw in TV News to day's News There was an another unique News of suicide. A young couple committed suicide. Their suicidal notes tells that we are so happy that we decided to commit suicide. we have enjoyed our life fully and saying good bye. They were not under the effect of alcohol or drugs.Unusual calamity, triggered a remembering a yogi, who  jumped down from a Hill. This is a quite ancient story. Probably he jumped in ecstasy. Excess happiness or excess unhappiness can trigger such extreme steps. A psychiatrist was explaining this case in TV. I did not hear what he said.We will further explore further about the use of Flex Seeds. Our roof of the new house is also unique in our colony. It has a shape of pyramid. It is very strong. However we hardly get hurricane in our region. Our region is cool and calm like me. However Indore is not my birth place. I cam here with a company's job, they gave me Indore as headquarters. I worked on sales side of a pharmaceuticals company.I came here in 1953 and made it my permanganate place.Sorry for the long post.

Chicken is the right word for stimulating appetite. In our masonic lodge meeting most of the members look forward to drinks , chicken curry and chicken biryani. I will ask some one to select a choicest piece or morsel of chicken preparation. I did try many a time but I could never eat it. I am vegetarian by habit. I did take Egg-curry on some occasion. At home, at my hostel we all are supposed to be vegetarian. Even eggs are not allowed.we have groups of friends , 50% of them are non vegetarian.I think we have telepathic connection. Just to-day morning I was thinking about the my group and what we used to discussed about food. Our group is mote than 40 years old. we used to meet every Saturday evening regularly. gradually and one by one, they took divine leave and now we are only five( we do not add new member). All were doctors except me. Now except one all are above 80 and one member is 93.Our group is quite well known as most of them were professors in the medical college.Formerly we used to meet every Saturday, now we meet once in  every three months. Now our drinks and meals are homeopathic.Urge to have variety of food has dwindled. we do discuss natural break up of our group quite humorously.Again a long post for you to read!

To Margypops,
New and beautiful exercise for dry cough and perhaps a way to keep our self oxygenated.
Most natural remedies for persistent cough

Remedy No. 1. Learn how to cough only through the nose (i.e., with your mouth closed all the time). It will help you to reduce irritation of airways and bronchospasm, and increase oxygen levels in body cells and the brain.

Effects of hyperventilation on brain oxygen levelsRemedy No. 2. After you have mastered Remedy No. 1 (it may take 1-2 days), learn how to cough with the mouth and nose closed. You simply need to keep the mouth closed and the nose pinched. This will further increase your body and brain oxygenation.

These 2 easiest remedies are often sufficient to stop or reduce bouts of persistent coughing and gradually to recover. However, you can subdue coughing even faster if you use the most potent anti-coughing breathing exercise called "reduced breathing".

Remedy No. 3. Sit down in a comfortable position, preferably at an ordinary table on a straight chair. While having the bout of coughing, try your best to relax and at the end of your usual exhalation, pinch your nose and hold your breath (the mouth should be closed all the time) until you experience moderate discomfort.

If you cannot hold your breath due to severe coughing, pinch your nose and keep mouth closed while coughing without any air exchange. Why? Your goal is to increase the CO2 content in your airways so that you calm down the cough receptor-cells that become irritated due to several mechanical and biochemical factors during acute coughing bouts. These nerve cells stimulate the breathing centre in the brain both to initiate and to continue coughing.

After the breath hold, when you get a moderate or distinctive desire to take a breath, take only a small (or short) inhalation (one small sniff) and do it only through your nose. After this small inhalation, focus on relaxing all body muscles again, especially in the upper chest and shoulders in order to exhale slowly. If coughing is present, your goal is to limit your air or gas exchange to very small amounts. Ideally, the exhalation must be natural and unforced. Then take another (smaller) inhalation and again completely relax to exhale.

Reduced breathing to get rid of cough fast

With each breath, your goal is to take a small or reduced inhalation and then completely relax even though you still have a cough. You should gradually self-suffocate yourself creating a more and more distinctive air hunger while relaxing your body muscles. You will soon experience a strong desire to breathe more. Maintain this desire until your coughing subsides.

Your breathing can be quite frequent during this reduced breathing exercise (frequent short inhalations). If you do the exercise correctly (you will breathe up to 30-50% less air while being relaxed), you will notice 2 signs:
- Your arms and feet will get warm in about 1 minutes after starting this exercise
- The nasal passages will become more open and moist in about the same 1-2 minutes.
Permanent remedy for persistent cough

Physicians smilingAfter testing thousands of their patients, these Russian medical doctors found that persistent cough is possible only in those people who have less than 20 seconds for the body oxygen test. As a result, the permanent persistent cough remedy is to slow down the unconscious or automatic breathing pattern closer to the medical norm in order to get more than 20 seconds for the body oxygenation test.

This is possible with the use of breathing devices or correct breathing exercises and smart lifestyle changes so that to achieve permanent changes in automatic breathing patterns. Therefore, use these home remedies and other techniques to get normal body oxygen levels and solve problems with persistent cough or persistent dry cough.

To Margypops,
I am really fascinated by these exercises' basis. Breathing even for constipation. Importance of the balance of carbon dioxide and oxygen is more important than the more quantity of oxygen.I have read part of it and I will practice exercises suggested by it. I know my sister had chronic cough and she suffered so much till she died.her coughing did not respond to any cough mixture. Website gives many breathing exercises and discussed many points. I will inform you if it is really interesting and useful. Some doctor brought it from Russia. I will send you the address of the website. This website concentrates on abdominal breathing even during rest.To do it habitually they have suggested some simple exercises.

I had a look at the website of Dalai Lama' website. He had asked to find out scientifically whether mind can change the structure of brain.? The last para gives conclusion as follows;
In each case, monks with the most hours of meditation showed the most dramatic brain changes. That was a strong hint that mental training makes it easier for the brain to turn on circuits that underlie compassion and empathy.

'This positive state is a skill that can be trained,' Prof. Davidson says. 'Our findings clearly indicate that meditation can change the function of the brain in an enduring way.'

Meditation is on going learning process. Picking up five or six type of techniques you like, and learning and doing it regularly, will make changes in life. Thanks for sharing your views.

I have used visualisation many times, in fact I use it to go to sleep .is that similar to meditation...I found a small book years ago by someone called julia Hastings called 'You can have what you want" she calls them  creative visualisations

139792 tn?1498589250
by Dalubaba, Nov 30, 2011
I have not read the book . visualization is one of the 4 methods of meditation. You may chant a mantra, you may be a devotee to some deity, and you may make movement of your bodies(typical exercises) The book you have is book on meditation. You will get what you can visualize. with visualization, visualization should be accompanies with appropriate emotions. After visualization, give your heartiest thanks. This is for your subconscious mind who will take it as if the visualized thins have already happened and it will plan accordingly. It is something like Q.R(quieting reflex) I think we might have discussed this before. If not please write to me. I will give a brief outline of the technique.
Whenever a prayer is actualized in positive result, you may find that you have really visualized it while praying. I am sure the book must have instructed to relax the whole body completely before you begin visualization.Even counting number backwards and slow abdominal berating can calm you immediately.
Once i read  a book on positive visualization and I was very much enthused. So I experimented with one of my wildest wish (I an getting Rs. One Lack, tomorrow morning) One lack at that time means 10 month's living expenses. It was almost impossible probability. In the morning my daughter- in-law, came with one paper received from our bank which is in our colony. It was a receipt of Rs. 55,000. ( half the amount i visualized). It was on my wife's name. So I asked my wife 'From where did you get this money? She replied lighty that the amount belongs to my daughter who is in USA. I told her persuasively that I do not mind holding this money in your account, but Income tax dept can clamp fines for undisclosed money. She was a house wife and she had no persona income. So she got frightened and confessed that she has additional Rs 80,000 in fixed deposit. The total amount become much more than i had visualized for.It is true, it was not extra income, however the money was unearthed& could be put into fruitful investment.I consider this as the result of visualization. There are quite a few such happenings with me.Read the book three or four times to get complete technique clearly imprinted in mind.
Bickity; This may be useful for you.

It it does not turn glutenous, soluble fiber will not be absorbed in the body.Did you visit the website on Q.R (quieting relax)? Two books were very interesting One was QR and the other was psycho-cybernetics.This is purely on visualization. It is something like, a ballastic missile where in you feed the goals and it starts its journey. Sesame oil- Queen of oil. My friend has sent me well -researched article on oi. I am pasting the same for the benefit to our community members.

WHY SESAME SEED OIL
IS KNOWN AS THE QUEEN OF OILS

Sesame Seed Oil has been used as a healing oil for thousands of years. Sesame oil is mentioned in the Vedas as excellent for humans. It is naturally antibacterial for common skin pathogens, such as staphylococcus and streptococcus as well as common skin fungi, such as athlete's foot fungus. It is naturally antiviral.
