MRSA ear tubes

There were no cultures of MRSA prior to ear tubes in our then, 7 yr. old grandchild. Tubes were recalled due to promoting infections...no further info. on this. Now, at age 9 a perforation remains in the ear drum and the MRSA has returned (or is it rearing it's ugly head again?) There have been intermittent infections over the two years; but, none cultured until now. Doctor seems unconcerned!
