Well, I now have my Windows 7 professional, and along with it, a host of headaches. LOL.
I use the e-mail program Incredimail, and it is NOT compatible, so, luckily my version has the "virtual XP" mode and I can use it there, otherwise, I would have lost about 6 years of saved items, and such. Also, Outlook Express is NOT compatible either and you can not use it at all.
When I upgraded, I lost a lot of my fonts, and other things that I had to download.
On the good side, there are lots of "fru-fru" with it, meaning 3-D Wallpaper, etc, but, it requires an extra powerful video card, there are all kinds of things you can do, but, for me, well, if I had it to do over again, I would not. But, too late now, I have it, so, I best start learning it.
So, here is my advice to anyone thinking about it. If you basically are doing well with your current Operating system, know it well, and there are no glitches in it, by all means, do NOT change, if you do, make darn sure you have a good tech how can do it for you, mine is good, and I am still finding things out that I need to download again, and also make sure your peripheral hardware is compatible, such as the printer.
If I can be of any help, I will be happy to, I have some good manuals on it, and I am learning too, so it helps to answer questions.
Back to work. Ugh, my poor aching head.
