The universe is mocking me

Still at Luigi Ortega's, but planning to leave. A little more than an hour ago, I got a kick of concentration. Went from nearly incoherent to more or less normal (linguistically), and suddenly was monofocusing on finishing the diagram I'd needed to write today. Took a while, but then, it's an incredibly complex diagram (I hope it attaches properly). Now I face a dilemma. I can stay here and try to get other things done (like the paper that's *also* due tomorrow) and then raid when it's time, but have to walk home in the dark as I mentioned earlier. (It's just the end of sunset right now.) Or I can go home, where I'd be more comfortable, but (as a result) less likely to maintain this level of concentration.
I'm leaning toward the latter, since stopping to upload this for my teammates was enough of a break for me to suddenly be back in the setting. This place also turns into a sports bar at night, and now all the TVs tuned to sports have the volume on; my headphones' noise-canceling properties aren't that strong. On the other hand (the other other hand?), I can easily get decent quantities of beer, which .. okay, no. As much as that would calm me down, it's just too loud.
My eye still doesn't work right, but the headache hasn't gotten worse. I hope I can get everything home in a relatively short time.
(Mood lifted as I work, since it was this great sense of flow, but now I'm anxious and irritated as a result of the sports stuff, the darkening sky, and impending rowdiness. So ... time to go.)
