Went along to see my GP as I had not had a good response from the hospital. They advised me that I have a short PR Interval (Idont know where this has come from). When I went they advised me that I would need to have an ablation carried out. I was horrified. I went to see my GP to discuss things and he said that I would be better off writing a letter myself to the cardiologist to ask him to explain in writing what is wrong with my heart. No 1: Do I have Atrial Fibrillation, No 2: Is the short PR Interval that I have likely to make me keel over and die suddenly. No 3: Is the short PR Interval linked to WPW syndrome. I have now written this letter and am waiting for a reply. I did however get a telephone call from the cardiologists secretary to advise me that they have received my letter and will respond in due course. As yet I have not received anything but another appointment to attend to see the cardiologist in 6 months time just before christmas. Well I wont be going to that appointment. The last one was on my birthday and that was bad news so I dont want any more bad news just before christmas so i think I will re-schedule. I will post again next week hopefully with something more positive to write about.
