150 bpm

This visit was shorter than the last one.  I am thankful for this because in my mind it means that everything is going well and on target.    I got to hear my baby's heart beat again, which was 150 bpm.  I've gotten used to hearing it because I did purchase a pocket fetal doppler.  Once again, the med student had a little trouble locating it, but since I'm almost a pro at it (LOL) I pointed out where the baby should be -- AND I WAS RIGHT!  Needless to say, Doc was impressed lol.  I was offered the seasonal flu vaccine and swine flu vaccine, which I refused.  The doc reminded me that I could always change my mind and they'd be available for me if I did, which is fine with me.  I was scheduled for my December visit and that was that!

To my unborn child:

Your heart beat is the sweetest sound to listen to.  It makes me smile every time I hear it, just never gets old.  I'm counting down the days until I can see you, just shy of 2 weeks now.  I hope you do some major acrobatics and I get to feel you move before I see you on December 8.  Can't wait to feel your little butterfly flutters.  Mommy is feeling better than ever, so much better than a few weeks ago that I forget you're in there sometimes...just kidding.  Your name is coming soon, as long as you cooperate when I see you again lol.  :)

Love always,
Mommy

Thanks so much.  I can't wait to see what's going on in there too!  My husband commented that they should make a pocket ultrasound machine so that you can check in on baby when you get worried.  I told him that would be awesome LOL!
