went to the neuro yesterday, to find out all these months, i've been suffering from neuralgia..(nerve damage). all from having a wisdom tooth pulled back in march 08'.......now i have to take neurontin, and pain meds....i cannot beleive this has happened to me.
hang in there I suffer from permanent nerve damage from chiari malformation. I was on neurontin, lyrica, and every possible pain killer out there. You just have to be positive. I have been in constant pain for 8 years. Be happy I say because there is always someone out there that has it worse. I know you don't want to hear that, but I am talking from experience. I had a selective nerve root block performed yesterday in my C2 C3 vertebrate. Didn't help me, but you might want to look into it. Good Luck
Raq girl, get some help for your other symptoms now. just like you did and got the long overdue neuralgia diag,. See my view would be "FINALLY I know why I've been in so much pain and I'm not CRAZY. Now I'm gonna tackle problem #2.......etc.
there are reasons/ solutions (no, not always fixes, but ways to cope better, live life in a more satisfying way) for all our medical and mental problems. I've been there, too, and like what murph said.
if I live with pain (and yeah, anxiety and depression ARE painful) I can carry the world on my shoulders, take hostages, dig a hole and crawl in for my own pity party (HA! been there TOO). But I can also get pissed and challenge my demons, I can love my daughter's enough to show them how to ask for help, fight through and not give up when life turns turns inside out.
I don't know why this is happening to you. I've learned that the harder life is, the more I get to learn about myself. The best thing I learned was that I can just decide to stop being a victim. (yup, JUST DECIDE....how cool and empowering is THAT!!!?)
Find a great therapist. You and your boy deserve to enjoy life again.

Hi, Can you tell me more about having the tooth pulled and neuralgia...I have had some tooth work done and have been having back and neck pain since then recently too.
