11.27.09::  painful IBS

if it is IBS. intestinal cramps with sharp pains. bentyl and baclofen aren't helping much. this happens periodically. a real damper on social wants. neuro doesn't even want to discuss if this is MS related.  VA calls it IBS  and no one there really can do much about it. bentyl doesn't do much at all for it. what ever happened to when you could get donnagel with paragoric? at least i could be more socialable when these exacerbations happen with a little paragoric to quieten the intestinal pains/cramps.

i have had this issue since the first symptoms back when the CSF was infected. black diarrhea  for about three weeks. nothing helped. then, the ever present constipation with on/off again diarrhea. along with the intestinal pains intermittently. i have never had consistent bowels ever since.
