Have been sleeping so so much better with .5mg elavil and 200 mg 5-HTP. Went back on LND and added DLPA 500 mgs in the morning. Much less depressed and have more energy

Hi, could you please tell me if the Elavil has an instant affect or does it, like so many other depression meds, take continuous use to take affect?  Thank you!

Its hard to tell! I take such a low dose that I would say it creeps up on you. I do sleep better with it, but it really doesn't seem to help my pain much. I might think about taking 5 mg in the morning and see what that does. Wish I could tell you more.

I think the 5-HTP does more for me than the Elavil.
