At last!  An appoint. date...

     Three days ago, I was released from the hospital, yet I'm still feeling nauseous and dizzy with pain.  I spent yesterday morning, hunched over at my desk, doing research and making phone calls to my family doctor and several specialists, trying to get referrals.  
     FINALLY!  The receptionsit at my obgyn called me and told me that I could come in to see the doctor tomorrow at noon, but I'd have to go back to the emerg. in order to expedite the surgery date.  
"I would have to go back to the emergency?" I said, trying to remain calm and respectful, so that I wouldn't shoot the messenger.  "Apparently, there are no beds," she said.  No kidding! I spent eighteen hours in a lounge chair, along with several other patients and twenty-seven hours in a bed at another emerg. because they didn't know where to place me.  
     Well, I'm hoping to get some sleep tonight, since my pain is a little more tolerable and less intense.
I'm feeling cautiously hopeful that the tumor they found on my ovary is benign, although I'm mentally and emotionally preparing myself for a battle.  
After all, an unpleasant event is only temporary :)
