day five

Well it's five in the morning i went to the doctors yesterday and told him everytime i've failed its been lack of sleep he gave me 14 sleepers 20's i took 7  and fell asleep at4pm then awoke at 2am the next day so the sleep was good
the mental cravings are still there but im just going to have to get used to them i know they will fade .
i know today will be hard but i also know im slowly breaking away from my habit
the rollercoaster continues

Congratulation's on day 5.. I know how hard it is to kick H.. Sounds as if you have had some much needed sleep, That's good. Eat when you can and drink a lot of fluids, this will also help. Try walking it will help with that "I want to jump out of my skin feeling' Hope you cut of your connection and ties as that really helped to escape the drug..Keep updating as i wish you well on your journey..

thanks for your support this site is great its my first cold turky using it , it has made such a diiffrence.
as u say that jump out of ur skin feeling it's the worst
i've already stopped seeing my friend who i first started with about 3yrs ago,he is still using .
we used to smoke it together but he has moved on to needles i told him about 2 months ago our friendship was over and not to phone unless he gets himself clean but i just can't c him doing it.
it took a while i do still worry about him sometimes think of what he is up to but that does'nt help the mental cravings just thinking about him
i need to just worry about my own battle

You are so right and the battle is not over when the physical is over it really just begins The mental starts... It is doable thou I've not used junk in a little over 30 years and I can tell you for fact the cravings do go away ;)
I used a hot water bottle for the skin thing, you can make it as hot as you want and take it from room to room with you. Hot baths are like a miracle when it get's to bad.. Put a pillow in a garbage bag lie in the tub and relax.. That is the only time during wd that I totally relaxed. Don't have a tub, a shower works as well..
Really sorry to hear about your friend. We are a few of the lucky one's walking away I have lost a lot to Heroin..
I'm pulling for you, anytime you need to talk I'm willing.. Lesa
