Hello, I'm 16 and I'm in this situation where I do not know what illness I have. It all started after the night of being with my boyfriend. I went "down on him" (oral sex) but I did not let him go down on me. So basically I gave him a ******* and couple hours later I started having symptoms of numb and tingly tongue with a blister on the tip of my tongue. Then couple hours then my throat started to hurt so whenever I ate it would cause pain to my throat. Basically it hurts whenever I swollow and causes headaches along with a fever. Towards the end of the day I was real tired and slept for 11 hours straight. These are some unusual stuff that's been happening and I do not know what to conclude..
My research:
So once I kind of had the idea that it was getting serious I started to look up my symptoms and it narrowed me down to "numb and tingly tongue" and it gave me a hand full of causes and one of them happened to be Infections. Under Infections it stated herpes or oral thrush.. Most of my research lead to those two things but that website brought it all together. It states that it's most likely herpes and a slight chance of oral thrush but the fact that my boyfriend is a virgin and this was both our first time can't be herpes.. Right? That's where I get confused and oral thrush is caused by yeast infection. And yes men could have it also! But I don't know if he shows the signs of a yeast infection on his penis ..
Overall I'm asking for pointers- like if my research was correct or it could be something else. I'm having trouble figuring this out and I do not want to alarm my parents... If it is oral thrush I read that it could be bought over-the-counter. But if it is oral thrush what if the best medicine over the counter?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.. I'm sorry it's a little outspoken but I'm scared.
