my ocd

well i was diagnosed with OCD at the age of 11!
it *****, i count almost non-stop, syllables, letters, time, cars, trucks, blues redsw yellow and ht elist goes on and on!

lol my favorite color is blue so naturally everytime i walk in a room my mind starts countin how moany blue objects are in a room!

its like f#ck stop counting already...who cares how many blue objects are in the room!

and if i make myself stop...i go into an anxiety attack!

my panic attacks are more random...theyll happen for no reason! especially at night! they give me insomnia cuz they make me afraid to go to sleep!

i havent been to therapy in many many years cuz im too poor!

im about to get insurance though so thats goona change ASAP!

OH yea...i cant take medicine of any kind! it scares me too badly. i smoke at night to keep my panic attacks to a minimum a friend gave me this idea about two years ago so ever since then i have been a smoker lol!

i only smoke at night tho i dont ever want one durin the day haha and its not like i really want one at night either they just help alot!!! it could be something i made up in my head but idc it helps me get to sleep and thats all i care about!

well i know im leavin some stuff out but ill keep updatin it!

Hey there! You sound alot like me as well. I was diagnosed with ocd when i was 15, and over time diagnosed with tourettes as well. Its been super rough being on and off my meds cuz i hate the side effects. Ive tried several diff types of meds but the one that helps is Clomipramine. The side eeffects are just terrible, Tired all the time, groggy, blurred vision, no sex drive,i feel like im constantly in a buuble and numb. I dont know whats worse anymore, the side effects of my meds, or my symptoms. Im here if ya ever wanna chat:)

i had ocd bad as well. though not completey cured. i am much much better and have it pretty much under control.  i tried a bunch of stuff and am still on meds - not knowing if they work or not  - but what def did work was cognitive therapy / behavior therapy... try it, it will work!  also buy the book http://www.amazon.com/Brain-Lock-Four-Step-Treatment-Chemistry/dp/0060391669 .   Learning why it is you do what you do helps you combat it!
