Today is the first day of getting back on the healthy track. I have let myself go for too long and put the kids and family before me and now is the time that I make sure I'm healthy and take care of myself. I started today by walking the kids all the way to school instead of driving. Then came home and didn't go back to bed instead I made breakfast and sat down and ate with the baby. Now since I am breastfeeding I'm not following a diet I'm just aiming towards removing a few processed foods a week and get back into cooking from scratch good healthy foods that I do love, but have fallen into a pattern of laziness where it's easier to grab something and eat than prepare a meal. The first thing I'm focusing on removing is Dr. Pepper I know that it will be difficult since I'm consuming about a 2L each day, but I didn't buy any at the store and have been carrying around a water bottle and refilling that and it's been about 14 hrs since I had any soda. I did have a cup of coffee to make sure I don't get a headache from lack of caffiene. I'm up to 19 oz of water intake so far. The best part is my mood for the first time in a long time I'm excited to have set goals and to start making real changes to my life and it will hopefully pass on to the kids as well.
