New Cycle...  Day 7 & 8 - IVF 102nd

Blood tests, blood tests, blood tests, and some bruises from all the tests!  So I went for a blood test again on Monday and all was well with all my levels (LH and oestrogen) slowly rising.  When I went in on Monday I asked the nurse what needs to happen with the levels, where do they need to go?  She told me that they are looking for increases leading towards and surge, just prior ovulation.  So I walked out of the clinic thinking "I've got to double my levels, double, double, double".  I got a call to come back in on Tuesday as my levels were rising and you won't believe when I got there my LH level went from 5.2 to 9.8!  Almost double.  So on Tuesday I had an ultrasound and I had one follicle that we 17.5mm and that was a great indicator that I was on my way and the nurse said it really just depends on the levels of the blood test now.  So I kept an eye on my phone and waited and waited, but of course I was in a meeting when they rang.  The message was - your levels have surged and we are going to schedule an implant for Monday!  SO COOL!!!

Yesterday (01/07/08) was our wedding anniversary and while we were celebrating with one of our favourite dinners of pizza and beer I was telling Marc about all the things that I know from the nurses and Marc said that he thought this was the one, it was going to work.  So great to hear from him as I feel that he is quite detached from this all, which is fair enough and a man doesn't really have any connection until a baby is actually born.  So all good and very positive.   I am quite pleased and thinking positive and not thinking about it all and trying my best just to BE.  I think that it's thought to do that, but I'm going to give it my best and hope all the numbers, stars, moons, all whatever’s line up and everything goes ahead.
