It's a shame that you're having such difficulties waiting for tx.  I have to agree with you on trading in your pre-tx sx's for tx sx's because I'm in exactly the same position.  I have an appointment this month so I will be getting an actual starting date at that appt.  I also have pain in my shoulder that has become totally unbearable to the point that I had to stop playing guitar.  Fortunately I haven't played professionally for quite some time.  Well good luck with your ongoing struggle and knowing that you are not alone.  later friend and God Bless

Thanks it's good to share, I have been having tingling and numbness in my left arm and hand especially when playing the guitar. I have weakness in my left hand, playing right handed you probably know how that is.

Good luck, keep in touch.

The waiting is the hardest part.  (Isn't that a lyric from a Tom Petty song?)  Don't you wish you could just take that nap and not get up til the meds arrive.  Of course, if you did that Luke might just round up ALL the local skunks and they would take over the place while you sleep.

For what its worth, once you get started it goes pretty fast.  (I can hardly believe I'm at week 43.)  You'll get there.  Meanwhile, keep on making your music any old way you can.  You too, fret!

Keep the faith.

Hope the shot works. Had a few in the shoulder myself. The cortisone in the shot (unless it was local anasthetic only) probably won't help your viral count though, and you will want to avoid them once you are on TX.

Best luck,
Brent

If Luke could round up all the skunks in the area he would be doing the whole neighborhood a favor and probably become the local hero. Shoulder is really aching, Dr gave me some Voltaren which doesn't seem to help yet, he said it would take about a week to get into my system, now it just eats at my stomach. woohoo come on tx.
I feel a lot better after sleeping half a day, gotta get out of that habit until it is really needed, side aches today.
I feel better, it is 2:47 Eastern Std, time need to shower and see the folks.maybe meet Cheryl for some good mex and a meeting at a beautiful Jewish temple.
Hope everybody is good and getting gooder!

Head I was wondering what was going on with you? I was suppose to start TX in Dec and it kept being put off because of my thyroid. I did all this prep for it and told my work and family then was really let down when it was put off. It was a relief to finally start and it goes by fairly quick once going. I am on my 8th shot and feeling pretty crappy.  Not running much anymore except to the bathroom. From all the H20, nausea and every other little thing that comes up. I tried to be a stud and blow off the sides until they blew me over. Now it is no longer fun being me but I was UND at 4 weeks which puts me into the 90% chance of clearance so I will try to persevere.
I hope your shoulder feels better that must suck when you play guitar! What is putting off your TX I seemed to have missed that?

To CMcH
It is great to hear about being UND after 4 weeks, woohoo. That makes the bathroom trips worthwhile I guess. Keep the faith.
My great specialists gave me the go for tx,, then had a problem with my insurance, the interferon needs to be under medical because it is injected the riva needs to be under rx, go figure. I had urged them to check this out earlier, but no they had to wait. My benefits person, got with our insurance who got with  my specialists. Everything is supposedly good, but my insurance provider will also have someone contacting me throughout tx also. Still waiting on meds. It is another week, maybe this is it.
Luke got skunked again, I think I am going to just get him one to have around.
My chiro got me a microcurrent machine that puts electrical impulses through to help with the pain, it works pretty good, she said I can use it anywhere for pain, could be interesting during tx if so.
